Blue Bob Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I would like to thank him for guiding the club through promotion, the 'La Manga' episode and for being honest to the fans and pulling no punches.Cheers Tim Back to tennis eh. I remember him going out to sort the La Manga problems out, supported the players and the manager well and wasnt afraid to face the press when other Chief Exec's would have been running for cover. He has helped the club through some difficult times and helped Milan settle in to what will be a new era for the club. Dont know if he was pushed or he walked but wish him well for his future.
Tommy G Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Was he the one responsable for putting Rab Douglas on a £7,000 a week contract? Its a fact
Leicester Rule! Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Sure the job will be advertised in the Mercury jobs section
Daggers Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Was he the one responsable for putting Rab Douglas on a £7,000 a week contract? Its a fact No he wasn't - and it's slightly unfair to blame him for things like that. His position was to arrange contracts not to decide whether or not the player was worthy of it so you'll need to find someone else to blame. There's a large part of me that finds it sad that a genuine City supporter is no longer involved in the running of the club - but the rest of me remembers what an absolute arse City supporters made of running the club. Despite MM's bumpy start I do feel that we are moving in the right direction for success. Good luck TNBD.
Tabou Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 12 Months of Joe Mattock.... Under 18's ---> Reserves ---> substitue appearance in 1st team ---> regular 1st team player ---> England U21 call up ---> ??? Surely CEO of Lcfc is the logical next step on his journey to greatness???

Bollocks The arrangement of contratcs obviously deems how much their paid!
James. Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 So your saying he had nothing to do with it? Bollocks The arrangement of contratcs obviously deems how much their paid! Read his post again and think about it. He never said TD wasn't involved in how much they are paid. He said TD wasn't (and shouldn't have been) involved in judging a player's ability and as such whether they were worth the contract they were given.
Bert Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 So your saying he had nothing to do with it? Bollocks The arrangement of contratcs obviously deems how much their paid! He's saying that he wasn't the one responsible for putting Rab on whatever he was on.

My point was that TD is ultimately responsable for putting together new contracts for new players

Manwell Pablo Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Sorry mum.My point was that TD is ultimately responsable for putting together new contracts for new players .....Yes but under the advice of those beneath. Levein would of told Tim Davis what he thought the player was worth and they will of both sat down with the player and negotiated with the player, Levein in charge of the football side of things Davis from the business side. Other things annoy me out Davis tbh, like him getting a pay rise after we got releagated

Manwell Pablo Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 It being his fault we got relegated?? Well he is cheif exec I just don't think anyone should be getting big pay increases when the clubs going to take a massive revenue loss. espeically the cheif exec.
Darkzzz_ Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I would like to send Tim off with my best wishes!!! He was at the club in a very difficult peroid so i respect him for the work he has done!! So on we move!!! I reckon milian will get a serbian or russian apprentice billionaire in so he can run the club one day!!! Wishfull thinking ay!!! Worth a Punt though!!
Corky Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Thanks for all your efforts Tim, you always gave your managers a fair chance (too long at times), but you were dedicated, helped save the club, were always honest and open with us, and still are a true fan. Good luck in the future.
ohmy6od2 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I think it's fair to say that Tim has been uncomfortable for a while now with a 'consulatant' that was bought in about 3 months ago
