Shame to see him go. He was a good cheif exec and you could see he worked very hard.

We went to a meeting with him around the time of Milans Takeover and he looked so tired & stressed. Poor bloke, although on his salary, I wouldn't mind it either!

Indeed. Also he was pro standing which certainly helped us at the meeting about N Block.

Good luck to him.

Not read the thread maybe this has already said but I think there's more to this than meets the eye, I reckon Milan and Tim have fell out somewhere, Tim was a right arselicker to Milan.

Does anyone actually know what Chief Executive is? What they do? Because Tim didn't seem to do that much just walk around with a smile on his face, meeting people and acting important.

I have never really been able to form a fully balanced opinion on him in fairness. He is certainly not incompetant or any of the other insults that are being floated about.

After we went into administration we were always going to struggle financially. In this sense the club has been reasonably well (financially) managed and we have stayed in business long enough to attract a wealthy buyer. I sometimes wonder whether that was actually Tim's only real aim; to secure the long term viability of the club.

The resignation makes sense, and it is another step towards changing the face of our club into one unrecognisable to that of a year or so ago.

I wish him all the best and thank him for helping us stay in business for the past few years. He was certainly unpopular in some decisions but we could undoubtedly be in a much much worse position than we are right now. He is to an extent responsible for that.

It's about a full year since the takeover. Timmy was kept on to help bed Milan in, it's not a shock it's happening now.

Those people calling him a load of names, know nothing about what he did or didn't do for the club. They should keep their mouths shut!!

Agreed.

Shameful really that people automatically become abusive everytime someone leaves the club. Imagine if they did the same thing if you popped around for tea?

"Yea, **** off Daggers you useless fat twat! Can't even hold a ****ing knife and fork properly you cock!"

Amazingly, it happens a lot.

Tim put together the business plan which enabled us to escape administration and return to the Premier League.

He also attracted both England and Brazil to the Way, for which he deserves many thanks.

However there were also downsides to his reign. He was quick enough to claim bonuses when the club was promoted, yet strangely not so keen to take a pay cut when we came down again, even though he insisted on them for players.

And his failure to attract long-term investment created instability and left the club vulnerable to outside predators.

However, his sudden departure and equally swift replacement will undoubtedly induce much upward movement of eyebrows.

No doubt yet another confidentiality clause will ensure the reasons behind his exit will remain a matter of conjecture.

Some people in this thread are a disgrace.

Tim Davies always did his best for this club, he's a Leicester fan as much as anyone on here.

I've spoke to him on numerous occasions, he's always been helpful and offered advice.

Good luck in your future Tim.

That's my impression of him as well. He may not have got everything right, but he did recognise when it was time to bring in further investment (I accept that Tim was not the only one involved in this!) and then stay on to provide stability. I guess then that this eventual resignation was inevitable.

So I will say thanks Tim and the best of luck.

Never liked the bloke.

Embarrasing when we had the press conferences (Fair few of them lately)

Sounded so gay.

I think your assertion that this was always the plot is wide of the mark. Sounds like your answer to everything is "it's part of the masterplan" and "shut up if you don't agree with me".

I think Davies has done a fine job and see no need for him to go.

Agreed. Never really had a problem with him as he got the job done with minimal fuss.

It was inevitable that he'd leave sooner or later after Milan took over.

Thanks for your efforts Tim. ;)

I can't say I know the bloke personally or have ever met him, but considering he saw the club to a return to the premier league, having to go back to the championship and many coaching and football related issues for 5 years, he must have done something right... ;)

All the best Tim for the future and thanks for all you've done for the LCFC during your time as CEO... :)
