Leicester City Football Club today confirmed that Tim Davies had resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "I would like to place on record my thanks to Tim for his services to this Football Club over the last five years.

"We fully appreciate all the hard work and commitment he has shown during his time here. We wish him all the best for the future."

Davies added: "I would like to say thank you to Leicester City Football Club, to Milan and to all our fans, customers, suppliers and our great staff.

"I have been truly fortunate and honoured to be Chief Executive of this great club and to play my part in its history and to work with all the staff here. The club is now well positioned to go forward to the Premier League and be a real force there."

If I am being truly honest, I believe there are better Chief Executives out there. ;)

Pretty well 12 months after the takeover and as I expected really.

He'll have had a decent pay-off and at least he's had his time and no-one can take that away.

In some ways I think he's played a worthwhile part in at least keeping us "in the game" and he's a genuine fan, no question.

But I don't think this will have come as a surprise and I can only wish him the very best in future.

Undoubtedly.

I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd gone in the first few months of the Mandaric reign, but the fact he'd lasted this long made me think he'd be here for the duration. We don't actually have any idea why he's gone, do we? I've asked someone that knows him and he didn't know it was coming

He's quite a geniune guy, I contacted him with a issue, he phoned me back at 8.00 pm on his day off!!

I don't know whether he was a great chief exec, but just peter jones, he is a nice guy!!!

seemed a good chap to me

always responded when contacted!

in 5 years he has had a lot to deal with. i cant imagine during that time anyone being chief exec of this football club

would have been an easy job

I would like to thank him for guiding the club through promotion, the 'La Manga' episode and for being honest to the fans and pulling no punches.

Glad to see that MOST of the posters so far have wished him well...... why is it that whenever someone leaves this club, managers, players, backroom staff, there are always idiots who see fit to see them off with a "Twat", "Good riddance" etc etc

He always responded to my emails within a week or so, a very nice chap. I wish him well for the future.

Do one.

I appreciate he's done quite a few good things this club but in the times I've been in correspondance with him he's behaved, like well, 'a bit of a twat.'

I'm under no obligation to think someone is an all round lovely geezer just because they've worked for leicester city for a long time.

Of course there are far better CEO's around. However, there are also many many many better paid positions with better prospects, less interferance and less people giving you shit that you get with LCFC.

Always struck me as a nice bloke.

Last season he shook my hand at St Mary's in Southampton and thanked me for making the long journey. I said "What? From Cowes?"

Bless 'im.

Good luck for the future TD and thanks for your effort.
