Babylon Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Just said saturday was a poor showing from his team. Also saying our winger problem still not sorted ? Is that true ? So what? Do you expect coventry steamrollering every game? Also saying our winger problem still not sorted ? Is that true ? Have you not been paying attention to what has gone on the last month. We missed out on 3 other wingers and are still in for Sinclair... the two players we currently have as wingers would have only been the back up for his main targets. Unfortunately we missed out on them all so far.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Have I said the manager is right all the time? No I haven't so stop doing your usual trick and saying things that people haven't said. IT TAKES TIME TO SORT OUT!!!! Whether it's Holloway, Wenger, Ferguson anyone managing this club.... it takes longer than 6 weeks and i'll repeat it until i'm blue in the face.I can call the complete retards on here or on the radio if I want to, because quite frankly they deserve it!!! Where do you get 6 weeks from? When you go to school tomorrow ask the teacher how to count
Koke Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 It was nice to hear a caller with some common sense. And he even apologized on the behalf of the rest of the retards.
Head Honcho Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 No offence mate but if you know anything about football, you will realize that a manager who inherits a team of shite needs months any plenty of them to get his methods and ethos across. Yes he has been here ten weeks and it hasn't been great but let him sign his players and not some stop gaps, let the Hungarians get acclimatized to this country and then judge him. He has clearly stated tonight that the misfits who were released cost us a packet and have hindered us buying players so lets not blame him for the shocking signings. Too right! He's taken loads off the wage bill and survival this season is the priority. There's no point buying big money players before the start of next season-the players here at present will be enough to keep us safe.
Babylon Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Where do you get 6 weeks from? When you go to school tomorrow ask the teacher how to count Maybe you can ask your games teacher about football, because you clearly know nothing about it. Whether it 6, 8, 10 whatever weeks. It usually takes bloody longer than that at the best of times, let alone when you are the 3rd manager of the season and the club has had 21 new players come into it.
Koke Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Babylon - If I were you I wouldn't ****ing bother. Its a losing battle arguing with some fans.

sdb Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 didn't listen but why do we have such goons representing leicester all the time on these phone ins? Oggy must think we're all a bunch of twats
Babylon Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Right that does it - I'll see you in the playground tomorrow. Behind the bike sheds again? I'm there.
Jonezy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Caught the second half of it, but lost connection a few times. What did he say about Gradel and Fryatt? He does talk sense, and he seems to point out the things we point out as well. I like Ollie, and I liked what he said about Sir Barry - 'He will do anything I tell him to do, because he just want to win it for the team'!

Koke Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I wish he'd tell him to go elsewhere. Behave yourself son. What exactly has Sir Baz done for you to say this bollocks?
dandannieldanok Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Behave yourself son. What exactly has Sir Baz done for you to say this bollocks? Errrmmm bugger all, that's the point, 2 fortunate goals hasn't clouded my view. You tell me what he offers that Fryatt doesn't, apart from "experience". I'm just not happy to see young talent being starved of first-team experience when they're being kept out by someone no better than themselves.

I'm just not happy to see young talent being starved of first-team experience when they're being kept out by someone no better than themselves. Feed Fryatt more excuses... Hayles has 2 goals in about 4 games. Fryatts got 2 all season (in the league). The stats dont lie.

Sir Baz offers us experience, yes I said it, old wise head who can see off games. Ideally he shouldn't be starting and Ollie didn't bring him here for that. Hopefully when things fall into place and DJ/Hume partner Howard up front, then Hayles will be a super sub who we can count on if needed.

I'll ask again, Apart from experience what does Hayles offer that Fryatt doesn't? I'm just curious to know, maybe I'm missing something but personally I can't see anything.
Jonezy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 So what did Ollie say about Gradel and Fryatt.....? Didn't really want to start a Sir Barry vs Fryatt discussion.
Sods Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 So what did Ollie say about Gradel and Fryatt.....?Didn't really want to start a Sir Barry vs Fryatt discussion. Gradels staying till summer at bournemouth.

dave_the_fox Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 He sort of compared Gradel to Defoe when he was on loan to Bournemouth.
Jonezy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Gradels staying till summer at bournemouth. He sort of compared Gradel to Defoe when he was on loan to Bournemouth. Thanks. So Ollie believes in the kid, and want him to gain experience in league one? Someone mentioned 3 year contract...??
dandannieldanok Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Revert the question. What does Fryatt offer that Sir Baz doesn't? Read what I wrote again. In my honest opinion Fryatt has more technical ability with the ball at his feet than Hayles by a country mile. And to be honest I'd rather see a 21-year old (I think) given a chance ahead of a 35 year-old, it will benefit his career more and benefit LCFC too in the future. I'm not being ageist I just think that out of two similar players I'd rather see the younger one play.
alanf0x Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Was very impressed with the Interview. Ollie was very frank in his assessment of the whole club and the key points from the interview for me were: Mattock would be loaned out to a lower league club to gain much needed experience if we had more depth in this area. Looks like Clapham will be replacing him a.s.a.p. Thinks he will be a quality player in 2/3 years time. Ollie kept Mattock over Shush!, because he could be used left midfield if required. Hume is not the main man! Hume needs to improve on keeping hold of the ball, especially away from home. Also mentioned that he does tend to 'sulk' when its not going well for him on the right. Clearly rates DJ. Can see him playing alongside Howard/Hayles. To many players came into the squad in the summer not good enough. This has had a knock on effect to transfer activity in January. Suppose he was talking about the likes of Neilson, Kishishev, Cort, Newton, Kaebi, Hayes, Hellings - good work MA. Turned down bids of a combined 2.5 million for Kisnorbo, McAuley. I think we should be looking above 3 million for these 2. Thinks Fryatt is an excellent footballer, but needs wingers in the team with him for support. That does surprise as i feel more creativity through the middle will help him. He did mention that Fryatt needs to look at his body language when its not going well. N'Gotty is very quiet, not a real leader, but he has never had to be at the clubs he has played at in the past. Another player for the exit doors in the summer i think. Although he thinks we have a good mix of youngsters, i cant see many academy lads making the first team squad in the near future. Good to hear, experience is the way forward. Ian would rather have these youngsters out on loan at lower league clubs than playing in front of 25 people for the academy. Ollie is clearly very passionate towards turning this club around and its up to us as supporters to get behind him and players starting on Saturday against Plymouth.
