Raj Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Yes,No, No, Maybe Not necessarily in that order. As if i'd walk, i'm too lazy. No, no I am not. I can kiss your penis....?
Jimmy Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 i'm sorry but he is but what can one expect from somebody with cov in their name your talking bollocks mate, Clem is the better player though I'd drop him at the moment as his current form is shockingly bad
Bert Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 your talking bollocks mate, Clem is the better player though I'd drop him at the moment as his current form is shockingly bad I'm so glad you're not the manager.
Daggers Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 ...,his current form is shockingly bad Incredible.
Jimmy Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I'm so glad you're not the manager. Incredible. what in my opinion Clemence has been a major disappointment, for a captain he has shown a distinct lack of leadership and hasn't performed to anywhere near the standard his ability suggests he could at this level
The Reverend Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I want to beat Leicester more for the fact that its fans are unbelievably arrogant and suffering from 'MASSIVE club syndrome'! Poor MASSIVE Leicester in the championship. Surely a club of your size should be winning the European cup year in year out? Think its a lot of you fellas that need to get real. Plymouth have spent most of their existance in this division so we probably are at our level. To compare us with S****horpe is laughable and shows what you really know about football. I fully expect us to lose on Saturday but thats because im a pessimist. Our away record is almost as good as your home record so thats absolutely no reason why we shouldnt be beating the likes of Leicester who are not as good as little Plymouth (The table doesn't lie), even if you are so much more MASSIVE (yawn) than us. Sturrock wasnt given time at Southampton or Sheff Wed so its no wonder he didnt do anything at either of those clubs. Holloways record of one promotion and one relegation is outstanding though, i have to admit. I hope he does as well at Leicester! Prized pratt. Arrogant? Why? Because we are honest and say we are a much bigger club than you? We are'nt a massive club, but we are a far bigger club than Plymouth. Look at the rankings someone posted on here. Leicester are 22nd out of 92. Plymouth 51st. Enough said? No probably not. Our home forms shit aswel, just been good for about a month, thats all. As for Holloways record, yes its not too bad considering he was at 2 lesser clubs, Plymouth being the 'lessest', with peanuts to spend, and selling his best players. Now go on. Fack off.
Thracian Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 what in my opinion Clemence has been a major disappointment, for a captain he has shown a distinct lack of leadership and hasn't performed to anywhere near the standard his ability suggests he could at this level I've felt that too but he's actually got more assists (6) than any other player and has had more shots (40) than anyone apart from Hume (44) and Fryatt who's also on 40. Clemence's stats are perhaps a little flattering in that he's had more games than a lot of his competitors and his meagre two goals for the season is a bit disappointing but that still suggests a decent contribution.

Fryatt has had 40 shots? Clemence has had 40 shots? Surprising.
A fox for life Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I'm Going to get SHOT for pointing this out, BUT has anyone seen the last four home game results... i'm not going to say it but just take a look http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Fixtu...,,10274,00.html ahem

Pity we can't pay em in that manner.
Bert Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 what in my opinion Clemence has been a major disappointment, for a captain he has shown a distinct lack of leadership and hasn't performed to anywhere near the standard his ability suggests he could at this level I think your sig leans toward a part of it too. It's not just this, many other things you say, just bemuse me.
Daggers Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 what in my opinion Clemence has been a major disappointment, for a captain he has shown a distinct lack of leadership and hasn't performed to anywhere near the standard his ability suggests he could at this level From the start of the season? No - he has not been the player he was a Brum. Recently? A much improved Clemence. And you would replace him with? Unless you've missed it, Clem is as good as we have for the midfield and (when he is up for it) he's a damn fine player. He's not been vocal and this is the biggest single failing in him for someone supposedly meant to be the captain. To drop him would be ridiculous in the extreme...unless that is why Hellings was rested midweek

Jimmy Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I think your sig leans toward a part of it too. It's not just this, many other things you say, just bemuse me. not particularly I just don't think Clemence has completely cemented his place in the team and I personally would like to see how a Wesolowski-Oakley partnership would develop over a couple of games, or even a 4-3-3 with all 3
STUHILL Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Don't think I've ever wanted to WIN a game more than this one!! Ive got caught up in it all. Plz lets see the team that came out and beat Cov!! My team to destroy Plymouth... Alnwick Chambers Kisnorbo McAuley Mattock Hume Oakley Clemence Bori Howard DJ subs - Ngotty, King, Lackzo, Fryatt, Hayles
Bert Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Argyle have not won a league game this year and have slipped down the Championship table. They are currently in 12th position and are five points off the final play-off spot. Please no.
syston_fox Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Please no. Could only be worse if it said "Had not won away all season"
Jimmy Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Could only be worse if it said "Had not won away all season" I seem to remember us thinking the same before Ipswich came up, yet we turned them over
Thracian Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 yes but how many of those assists have come from open play, as in through balls, i suspect they have all been corners and free kicks, don't get me wrong I'm not discounting their value but a central midfielder should get as many assists from open play as he should from a dead ball I suspect you're right. Kishishev split Coventry Reserves apart with a clever little through ball during the week and DavieG remarked that we've hardly ever seen such a pass all season. I remember one - an Andy King pass to Matty Fryatt, again in the reserves but instances of it happening in the first team escape me although I suppose there must have been some. Manwell will doubtless have stats on how many of Clemence's assists were from set pieces. I'm not talking crosses now but passes from central midfield between and behind defenders.

Yes well you would remember that wouldn't you? Reserve team stats have no bearing whatsoever on the first team stats.
acooling08 Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 anyone gonna wear a holloway mask? Linkage for the printable mask
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I suspect you're right. For some reason, we just don't score goals that way.
Thracian Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Yes well you would remember that wouldn't you?Reserve team stats have no bearing whatsoever on the first team stats. I remember it because such passes have been so rare in either first team or reserves, not to make a point about King's stats with the second team.
capital_fox Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 This game should hopefully be a cracker. Hope Hume books his ideas up though!
Sods Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Which Leicester team will turn up. This will be the first step to 'playing for ollie' Like Plymouth did. Lets win big.
