My team would be:

Alnwick

Mattock

Kisnorbo

McAuley

Chambers

Laczko

Clemence

Oakley

Bori

Howard

Campbell

I`d like to see how that team did too o be honest although I can only see one natural right-back amongst them and would prefer to see 6 or 7. :S:unsure:

Not the best of times for us to meet Plymouth really. They'll not need much motivation for this game, nor should we after yesterday either.

I hope we see a couple of changes to the team, personally I feel it's needed.

Alnwick

Stearman----Kisnorbo-----McAuley-----Clapham

Bori-------Clemence--------Oakley-------Laczko

Howard------DJ

If Clapham can get down to work quickly and find some fitness I'd like to see him start ahead of Mattock, he's been at fault for a couple of goals lately, perhaps time for a change.

Hume wide right isn't working for me either, we need natural wingers and we need to use them effectively. As we did against Coventry.

Hayles hasn't done a lot wrong. However DJ is a better partner in my opinion should he maintain match fitness.

And finally, I wonder how long it will take for the rallying call from a member of the squad to be the 12th man or get behind the boys!

I think that teams spot on to be honest. Ill be surprised if it is any different. Obviously left back depends on Claphams fitness and whether he has impressed or not. Hume, Fryatt, Hendo, Weso and Mattock the bench

fingers crossed.

Also...any news on the pitch...Is it likely to be better than against Coventry? again....fingers crossed!!

edit: Oh obviously Chambers right back for Stearman!!...then its spot on!

thats basically identical to the squad i'd pick.

despite his talents, mattock sometimes looks a little out of his depth, and so assuming clapham is fit and integratiing well, he should start if not just to give joey a break for a while.

campbell and howard up front. big man + small pacey = it fits

although i would like to see fryatt get some game time, even if its only for a short while just to assess what he's like at the moment. my bench would be:

hume, fryatt, weso, n'gotty, mattock

It's a nightmare picking an effective team from what's realistically available now.

There's just no reliable flair or creativity to be seen anywhere.

Humph to Howard seems the only option available - it's horrible.

But that being the Holloway-forward I can only imagine:

Alnwick;

Chambers, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Clapham;

King, Clemence, Oakley,

Hume, Howard, Campbell.

Subs: Henderson, N'Gotty, Bori, Laczko, Fryatt.

I'm back with 4-3-3 because I don't see any point in playing wingers if they're defensively weak and they won't get sufficient passes to feet.

We might as well have the combative approach and playing King gives the chance to at least supply something to the forwards and to add a fourth attacker in the box at times. Assuming King is still with us come Saturday and not been loaned out to Leeds! :D

Surely seven guys capable of defending should be enough and we'd have four capable attackers with Clemence and Oakley perhaps getting lucky.

Round pegs in round holes, no-one being asked to do what they're not capable of and with any luck we can catch Plymouth sleeping in sympathy with our fans.

Wahey, only Plymouth fan I like.. please keep those other bafoons away from our board mate ;) You'll be ok, we're so inconsistent it's ridiculous... oh to bring back the Walsh v Tynan and Thompson v Quamina battles !! :D

Why? Because he talks bollocks too? The bloke has no idea what he is on about. We cant compete with other wages in this league, admittedly. But its not the boards fault we have had to sell whatsoever. And we are only in the position we are in now cos of the greed of the likes of Holloway and others. Contracts are not worth the paper they are writted on nowadays. Yeah you'll beat us on Saturday but cup final??? Do me a favour! Your arrogance reminds me of Leeds when we used to play them and you are nowhere near as big a club as them, lets be honest. We've already won our 'cup finals' in all the three away games against the relegated Premiership teams. This season is a write off as far as im concerned for both of our clubs but id expect with Mandarins money and with Sturrocks ability to bring in really good players for next to nothing, we should both be pushing for play-offs next season. Like i said earlier, all the best after Saturday, except to the few ****** that seem to frequent here.

Get real.

Plymouth is a club that is over-achieving and you may develop good managers or players but you`ll never keep them whilst outside the Premiership. You cant blame Ollie for wanting to go to a bigger club just like we couldn't when Martin O`Neill went to Celtic. If Ollie does well enough and someone comes in for him whilst we are still at this level it will be expected but there is little doubt that we are a big step up for the lad and he wants to see if he can hack it with a club that has won two domestic trophies in the last 11 years, making us the 5th most successful club in England over the last 12 years.

Erm...who's fault is it then? And you are in the position you are in now because of Holloway. Yes i agree, you are in a much better position now than when he first came. It's not his fault your tight board cant pay decent wages is it? Holloways reasons for moving here have been proven correct already - you've sold your best players Ebanks-Blake and Norris. Only good player you didnt sell was Halmosi. Holloway was right to move. We have the money to not have to sell, and we can build a team. Look what he did with you lot, with **** all money. And selling his best players season after season. Holloway was right to leave, get it into your head!

As for your cup final, well all you have to do is have a quick glance at your messageboards to see what it means to your lot. You dont understand. We're the ones who dont give a shit about you. You could beat us on Saturday for all i care, it'll just be like losing to Barnsley, S****horpe, whoever.

As for Sturrock, cant see him doing a good job really. Look at what he did with Southampton and Wednesday....Yes....not a lot. Its fine doing it in the lower leagues, but who knows.

Possibly even this season's Colchester.

A win for us will put us only three points behind them and continue their freefall.

Apart from Plymouth Pete, not ONE of their fans has had the guts to come on here and say Holloway was right to leave.

The exodus he foresaw has duly occurred, and screwed up their team big-time.

Even without the exceptional qualities of the magnificent Stearman (who is suspended), this should be a comfortable home win.

I wouldn't go that far but I agree, this season or next they're going down.

Fingers crossed we don't end up down with them.

I really havn't got any idea what will happen in this game! We could come out and destroy them 3-0 or we could be flat and useless and lose 3-0!! We are just so damn inconsistent! My prediction = havnt got a bloody clue!!!!

A stroll in the park 4-0 :D

I barely ever feel like this but we should be winning easily. They are garbage and we've been solid at home lately.

easy, tiger! lol

but yes, on form we should woop their pasty backsides.. or should that be their pastry backsides... anyway..

on form Palace should of beaten us, i guess... its just a huge game for them and if we can weather the storm in the first half and i say THEN bring on Dj and we could run away with it in the second half.. He's not played that much since coming back and i would prefer to save his pace for the tired legs in the second half. Bring Hume on too for same reason but on one of the wings or behind the front two and keep howard on.

two big lads up front first half, for me. That will give them some serious issues to deal with and i think Hayles has earnt the right to start against his old club- he is big and ugly enough to cope with the stick from the plymouth fans and use it to motivate himself. 1-0 half time score with Hayles to get the goal and we run out 3-0 winners.

I want to beat Leicester more for the fact that its fans are unbelievably arrogant and suffering from 'MASSIVE club syndrome'! Poor MASSIVE Leicester in the championship. Surely a club of your size should be winning the European cup year in year out? Think its a lot of you fellas that need to get real. Plymouth have spent most of their existance in this division so we probably are at our level. To compare us with S****horpe is laughable and shows what you really know about football. I fully expect us to lose on Saturday but thats because im a pessimist. Our away record is almost as good as your home record so thats absolutely no reason why we shouldnt be beating the likes of Leicester who are not as good as little Plymouth (The table doesn't lie), even if you are so much more MASSIVE (yawn) than us. Sturrock wasnt given time at Southampton or Sheff Wed so its no wonder he didnt do anything at either of those clubs. Holloways record of one promotion and one relegation is outstanding though, i have to admit. I hope he does as well at Leicester!

You're 24th in the form table though...
