davieG Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 You might be right. Laczko's performances since Coventry have been alarming, but then again we've played badly since then and a player like him aren't going to shine in the battle of dog shit.Holloway could seriously help him out if he a) play's his compatriot Bori on the right wing and demands that his team don't go route one all the while. Look to play the ball through the central midfielders who can put a foot on it and allow the wingers to move in to position to stretch the opposition, just like they did against Coventry. Holloway has moaned about the lack of width and now he has a couple of wingers he's not using them to the best of their ability, is it any wonder Laczko goes wandering inside to try and get the ball, I fookin would do. Iain Hume is not a winger, it's time he learnt that. It's also time he listened to himself speak once in a while, because the other week he said Hayles & Howard is not a partnership that will work. But a game and a half later and he reverts back to it, meaning we have players playing out of position again. 'Wingers drifting inside' has been a universal criticism of all our recent wingers, such that they are - Porter and Hayes were continually and mercilessly criticised for it. With each successive manager, well bar Megson I keep hoping upon hope that they will see the light and realise it's not solely the wingers fault it's the rest of the fooking team. Our wingers are doomed to fail, if they stay out wide they are accused of 'not putting in the effort' if they go and try to fetch the ball they are accused of 'drifting inside'. The only thing they are good for at LCFC is as additional defenders.
Jonezy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Bye Kaebi! Thanks for throwing the throw-in to Deep Freeze in the Watford game......
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Bye Kaebi! Thanks for throwing the throw-in to Deep Freeze in the Watford game...... That's some epitaph.
Daggers Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Only one person. That is actually Sergio Hellings, with a cigar. In his mouth. It's not a look alike. There you go
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 no, he doubled up as a model whilst he was in Holland if you look around you can find lots of very entertaining pictures.Thats the best one though, very fitting. No doubt because he had difficulty holding down his moonlighting role as a footballer? Maybe Kate Moss could be an assistant referee? I bet she'd love running the lines!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Incoming osbourne? Unlikely. On Radio 5 yesterday Martin O'Neill was bemoaning his lack of midfield cover and Osbourne has been on the bench a lot recently.

TrickyTrev Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 In football terms terms they are exactly the same as far as I'm concerned. Yes, two massive countries that are football obsessed. Two of the best teams in Asia right now. Which means that anyone who has played for their national sides a lot and with distinction will have some ability. Whether those skills are transferable to the long ball foul fest that is The Championship is an entirely different matter, as this case has shown.
Simi Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 One more gone then, can only help is in the long run, I suppose. I saw him down at the training ground once sitting in the cafeteria with his interpretor, nobody made an effort with him. Then Gerry came in and said "You're in the sticks tonight Hoss" The look on his face.
WetFlannel Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 4 managers have had a look at him, and 4 didn't think he was good enough. Says it all really.
Babylon Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 4 managers have had a look at him, and 4 didn't think he was good enough. Says it all really. Yeah we've had four shit managers!!
Micky Ruddle Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I'm pleased in all fairness. He was on a wage bill but for what. He weren't playing. Ta dah.
WetFlannel Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Yeah we've had four shit managers!! Exactly, one of them signed him.
Staf Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Not bothered at all seen him a couple of times and he did nothing goodbye Kaebi
Brainy Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Im not really fussed he's gone but its a shame he's gone for nothing. Afterall he's had over 50 caps for his country.
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Im not really fussed he's gone but its a shame he's gone for nothing. Afterall he's had over 50 caps for his country. I saw someone with over 200 caps on Sunday, at Melton market, and wouldn't have wanted to sign him either. .
Guest Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I've just sold him for £1.1m on FM08 Shrewd bit of business that I tell ya
Hugo Sanchez Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I saw someone with over 200 caps on Sunday, at Melton market, and wouldn't have wanted to sign him either. . Still 50 caps for Iran. Not anything speical is it really ? Asian football is hardly world class and if he was anything speical. Like he would have joined us. Will end up playing back in the middle east or the Scotttish league. Like that time we had that lad from Boca here, Everyone was going on how great he's gonna be and he turned out to be nothing in the end.
Geo V Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Its a shame it didnt work out after all the hype but thats football. Good Luck to him but lets hope this negative experience helps him in his career. Im just gutted that its yet another player who arrived with a signing-on fee, probably a transfer fee and a decent size wage thats contributed nothing so in other words, another waste of cash.

A little bird told me what it was recently, and by crikey, it was, how shall we put it, substantial. I wonder how it works in these situations - if we paid his contract off in full it would have cost a fortune, but if he's got another move lined up we might not have paid him anything

I cant believe players like Newton, Cort and Kaebi have left tasty deals behind without being able to match that salary somewhere else, unless maybe we paid them up until the end of the season. Lets face it, the aforementioned players were not contributing to the first team so telling them to fook off and paying for the privilege was probably the best option
Father Ted Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I'd just like to say that Carl Cort has found a new club. They are Marbella of the second tier of Spanish football.
