Lets Be having You Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 If Iran ever start World War III I bet we get the first nuke for wrecking one of their brightest prospects. Not If.WHEN Iran starts world war III
Dames Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Thracian, whats your views on this? Oh you didn't...
Tommy G Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Hopefully this is the end to the biggest and most boring debate of city's recent times.
MikeyT Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Well i never saw him play so i dont have a comment on the lad, but i wish him luck for the future.
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Thracian, whats your views on this? First I don't know who did the homework on Kaebi and why he was actually signed in the first place because he was never going to be an instant first team player. His record only emphasised what should be obvious, that having a collection of caps for a country like Iraq doesn't mean you're necessarily a good player by English/European standards. However, given that he was signed my view was exactly the same as it is now with Laczko - that his only hope was if he'd been given time to properly acclimatise and I down think that seemed to be on the agenda of his own camp never mind ours, a factor that should also have been sorted out when he joined. All in all a waste of time and money for us and quite remarkable for a so-called biggish professional club. Can't ever see english football being his natural home but the readies wouldn't have done him any harm.

Daggers Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I think my signature is fantastic. Bless - had no one commented
Thracian Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Iran Or are they all the same Thracian? In football terms terms they are exactly the same as far as I'm concerned.

He was also lined up to go to Plymouth on trial before Holloway and co left them to come to us, so it seems there was some planning there with Zsolt. He's just been guff for the past 3 games and let's hope he can adapt to English football. He isn't afraid to get stuck in and his performance against Coventry shows he has the pace, skill and ability to be dangerous at this level. His positioning concerns me though, like you mentioned. Doesn't seem to be a disciplined winger, hope that can be taught very quickly.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Bless - had no one commented Only one person. That is actually Sergio Hellings, with a cigar. In his mouth. It's not a look alike.

Ric Flair Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 I think my signature is fantastic. I have to admit, it is quite exceptional. Look at Hellings, thinking he's Kanye West.

I didn't wish to suggest there was no planning in Laczko's case, just that he'd need proper time to adjust to English football which seems fairly clear to me - and he shouldn't be spending that acclimatisation time other than in the reserves or on the first team's bench. I don't expect anyone to agree with that but then many didn't agree about Kaebi either.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 In football terms terms they are exactly the same as far as I'm concerned. As far as your concerned? Hossein Kaebi aside you know jack shit about either of them although I somewhat doubt that will stop you having an opinion.

Manwell Pablo Posted 4 February 2008 Posted 4 February 2008 Did you take the photo? no, he doubled up as a model whilst he was in Holland if you look around you can find lots of very entertaining pictures. Thats the best one though, very fitting.

They are of no interest to me whatsoever in football terms.

Laczko's performances since Coventry have been alarming, but then again we've played badly since then and a player like him aren't going to shine in the battle of dog shit. Holloway could seriously help him out if he a) play's his compatriot Bori on the right wing and demands that his team don't go route one all the while. Look to play the ball through the central midfielders who can put a foot on it and allow the wingers to move in to position to stretch the opposition, just like they did against Coventry. Holloway has moaned about the lack of width and now he has a couple of wingers he's not using them to the best of their ability, is it any wonder Laczko goes wandering inside to try and get the ball, I fookin would do. Iain Hume is not a winger, it's time he learnt that. It's also time he listened to himself speak once in a while, because the other week he said Hayles & Howard is not a partnership that will work. But a game and a half later and he reverts back to it, meaning we have players playing out of position again.

I've no idea why Bori's not been chosen because he has played competently and with discipline so far and has, overall, looked the best of the two Hungarians so far. We all know Hume's not a winger and, while fans seem to see Bori/Laczko as the obvious line up using 4-4-2 Holloway continues, as you say, to contradict his own comments and not for the first time. He's always doing it. If he doesn't want to use the Hungarians as first choice then 4-3-3 or even the dreaded 4-5-1 looks the better option simply because we haven't really got any sensible options out wide.
