What's the worst thing that could happen to a man?

1. A condom with a hole in it

2. Getting hit in the balls with anything traveling over 10mph.

3. A gay son.

Having your bits cut off?

To be honest I wouldn't care if my son was gay. Having said that, the worst thing that could happen is finding out my gay son had indulged in a session of anal pleasure with my best mate. I'd imagine it would come quite high on my best mate's list of worst things as well, bearing in mind his straightness.

3. A gay son.

Are you for real?

Is this some 'heavy on the irony' thread that I didn't get? I hope it is otherwise you have just plummeted in my estimations.

Hmmmm the gay son would be weird, but the worst thing i can think of at the moment, is....

Getting your forskin zipped up in your jeans, happened to me years ago, i still have a bit of skin missing

Oh and the spilling beer comes high on my list aswell

There are so many hideous possibilities. Life really can be unbelievably cruel to some.

But anything that leaves you helpless and dependent on others for your life, for example, broken back causing permanent paralysis.

Any number of barely describable and often progressive afflictions that you'd never wish anyone to fall victim to.

Having to care for a once happy and healthy son or daughter in the prime of their life, knowing that they have no chance of recovery.

Having to care for a severely handicapped son or daughter from birth. Yes, you might help to give them any happiness that they'd ever know but I think you'd you'd be tortured inside.

That said some people cope with the most hopeless situations, affecting themselves or others, either philosophically, stoically or as a challenge and I never cease to wonder at their courage and fortitude.

And, though it may not seem like it to the suffering, much good can come from such challenges by way of progress towards cures, methods of pain relief, through contributing by your suffering to something which may have importance for many others in time to come and so much more.

Indeed I often feel that, whatever cards are dealt, a major meaning of life is to meet its challenges and to do everything possible to overcome them.

It's a humbling thought too but that's another angle altogether.

You know Thrac, thats really quite touching honestly i can say that i would not be able to cope if i was paralyzed i mean everyone loves to walk and move your body, but you really have to feel sorry for people like the ex-Leicester tigers player who is fully paralyzed, its such a damn shame there is no way to fix that

You asked the question. He gave the answer. What's your problem? (apart from the homophobia?)
