FoxesFan100 Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Chill out Bro's...i dont want to cause any shit!!! P.S I did read in the papers about a Dad who reversed over his young son and killed him. Now THAT would be VERY heartbreaking. Are you sure about that because i remember seeing that on Home and Away but he revedrsed over a little girl. But yeah that would be very heartbreaking running over your own son
Zingari Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Having a gay son would break my heart. he might even break your nose if you said that to him
Webbo Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Having a gay son would break my heart. I have 3 daughters and if one of them turned gay it would break my heart too, I'm sure I'd get over it though, you always love your kids no matter what.

Zingari Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 theres too many gays around these days though ; it was alright when there was just a few of them who had comedy tv roles like mr john( i'm free ) inman and larry grayson , and when you could have a good laugh at poofters , but they are everywhere these days and none of them look ashamed of themselves perhaps its nature's way of trying to stop the rapid population growth

There are no more gay people now than there have ever been. All that has changed is attitudes. The reason that gay people were less visible in the past, is because they were terrified of being vilified by ignorant people. Normal people now realise that somebody's sexuality only matters when it comes to sex. And, frankly, most people couldn't give a toss what people get up to in the bedroom.

Phube Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 What happen to phube sounds pretty painful It was!!!! :pinch: Close as you can get to losing it... without actually doing so! On a serious note... THE worst thing, for a man, are these two phrases: Complete Orchidectomy or Penile Cancer
Koke Posted 9 February 2008 Author Posted 9 February 2008 Are you for real?Is this some 'heavy on the irony' thread that I didn't get? I hope it is otherwise you have just plummeted in my estimations. I have a pop at everybody, blacks, whites, muslims, jews, chinese, illegal immegrants, gypsies and occasionally women. And gays won't get special treatment just cos they are gays. Don't be so PC, mate.

Hitler thought there were too many Jews you know.
Unabomber Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Whats your opinion on those who wish for the days when you could have a good laugh at "pakis"? Wooah chill out mate, this thread started out at being lighthearted.

LeeCovFox Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 sorry; yes , of course i was joking , i thought it was quite obvious but maybe it did not read quite that way It could well have been me not reading the thread through properly and jumping the gun. I'm quite an intelligent guy, but am also capable of the most monumental lapses of common sense

LeeCovFox Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Wooah chill out mate, this thread started out at being lighthearted. I've acknowledged that the comments I reacted to were not intended to offend. Fair enough, I may have overreacted. But I will not "chill out" if I see something which to me represents bigotry. Its a form of bullying, whatever the original intention of the thread and something which I find intolerable. I was wrong in this instance, and I am happy to say so, but I won't keep quiet if I feel people are being discriminated against.

Fair enough, at least in this instance the air seems to have been cleared.

MPH Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 There are so many hideous possibilities. Life really can be unbelievably cruel to some. But anything that leaves you helpless and dependent on others for your life, for example, broken back causing permanent paralysis. Any number of barely describable and often progressive afflictions that you'd never wish anyone to fall victim to. Having to care for a once happy and healthy son or daughter in the prime of their life, knowing that they have no chance of recovery. Having to care for a severely handicapped son or daughter from birth. Yes, you might help to give them any happiness that they'd ever know but I think you'd you'd be tortured inside. That said some people cope with the most hopeless situations, affecting themselves or others, either philosophically, stoically or as a challenge and I never cease to wonder at their courage and fortitude. And, though it may not seem like it to the suffering, much good can come from such challenges by way of progress towards cures, methods of pain relief, through contributing by your suffering to something which may have importance for many others in time to come and so much more. Indeed I often feel that, whatever cards are dealt, a major meaning of life is to meet its challenges and to do everything possible to overcome them. It's a humbling thought too but that's another angle altogether. Having worked in a school for children with physical disabilities for 7 years i got to know some of the parents very well.. Hard work as they all admitted it was none of them thought it was a bad thing. None of them felt cursed or anything like that. They loved their kids dearly.

I quoted and put links which IO've edited out. don't know what to put now which proves you are not alone with the lapses of common sense.
