MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 tell that to the Pompeians ok, yes, it was a long long time ago how about Switzerland !! Beneath the suburban neighborhoods and forests immediately south of Basel, Switzerland, an active fault continues to tremble, some 645 years after it caused the worst earthquake in central European history. A new study finally pinpoints the exact source of the devastating 1356 Basel earthquake. It also describes a consistent pattern of seismic activity that "points to a recurrence time for a 1356-type earthquake in the Basel area of about 1,500 to 2,500 years." Well, I will be long gone comes 2856... Earthquakes over here occur on a regular basis, but are - like in Great Britain - mostly of a minor magnitude. I've had a few instances when I was awaken by a slight rumble, but that was about it. There's still seismic activity in the region of Basel, but mainly due to the fact that they're doing some experiments with one of those brand-new thermal power plants, and the crack they're using's a bit unstable.
lildave3 Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Pfft.its all about the Yeah, I hate that aswell, only slightly less.

Daggers Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 iphones are horrendously overrated. All Apple products *cue flagrant breach of the Moderator code from Babs*
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 Apples however, are under-rated. I love a good apple, me. Or a pear. Actually, sod apples, give me a pear.
The People's Hero Posted 29 February 2008 Posted 29 February 2008 I like those shiny empire apples. Juicy as. Juicy as what? A nice soft juicy pear, I think not (and bite my thumb at you, sir).
