davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Somewhat premature but the OS seems keen Keep The Home Fires Burning Posted on: Wed 27 Feb 2008Leicester City will be looking to extend their impressive run of home form when they take on Preston North End at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday, March 4 (7:45pm). Ian Holloway's side have won four and drawn one of their last six home fixtures, scoring 10 goals and conceding just two along the way. And Ollie's men will be looking to further bolster their Championship points tally when they come up against Alan Irvine's side in front of what looks set to be a bumper crowd. The match will also mark the last chance for City supporters to catch the Foxes under lights at the Walkers Stadium before the end of the season. Tickets are currently on general sale for the clash, priced from just £23 for adults, £21 for seniors, £15 for under 22s/students, £10 for under 16s, £5 for under 12s and free for under 8s (family enclosure only). CLICK HERE to buy your tickets online through the Club's official e-ticketing facility. Meanwhile, supporters are reminded that tickets remain on sale for Saturday's trip to Ninian Park to take on Cardiff City.
harpendenfox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 We've tried everything. Experienced players, inexperienced players, all sorts of managers, Hungarians, different formations, different lucky pants. We're in the poo. The only thing we can do as supporters is sing our hearts out from first to final whistle in our remaining home games and try and inspire our characterless gormless team to greater efforts. Even if we go one nil down. Everyone at the Club has to come out of denial quick time and realise we're in a hell of a mess. However we still have 12 games left, and there are, currently, four teams beneath us. Doesn't matter if you think they deserve it or not (clearly they don't). Be positive, support the eleven picked by Ollie, support Ollie, and hopefully blind faith and optimism will be enough to help us survive.
Bernie's Love Child Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 If we lose this game we go down, simple. Agreed mate. If we lose, we're done. I'm having sleepless nights already thinking about the game
The People's Hero Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 I'm licking my lips and rubbing my tummy. My nipples are chaffed, mind.
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Impressive? Run? Home form? Sure, if you compare it to our abysmal away record under Ollie, that's quite an achievement. Sweep the three losses at home under the rug... OS, willya? Seeing Leicester City play under lights for the last time will certainly mark the highlight of any LCFC supporter. See you in League One... Get the torches ready, we'll be going Stone Age Style in the future...
Dr The Singh Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 If we lose this game we go down, simple. We doing that thing with Bertha again???
davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Author Posted 27 February 2008 Their record away from home is as bad as ours, in fact it's the 2nd worse in the league - 2 wins & 3 draws. Someone......they've managed to win only 2 away from home all season. They have 6 away before the end of the season and have taken only one point away from home since Dec 22nd. It ain't exactly prolific. The result against Stoke could have been predicted from a mile away. Nose bleeds an all that. Pulis even said they should have scored maybe 7 odd goals. As shite as we are we haven't looked like conceeding 7 in one game against anyone. The issue is we hadn't before the Norwich game looked like scoring 1 at the other end.
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Their record away from home is as bad as ours, in fact it's the 2nd worse in the league - 2 wins & 3 draws. Remember: This league is as unpredicable as the weather - except for one single team... And seeing that Preston beat Stoke, that'll give them a boost of morale, that's for sure.
Wycombe Fox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Their record away from home is as bad as ours, in fact it's the 2nd worse in the league - 2 wins & 3 draws. That's it then- we're ****ed!

And seeing that Preston beat Stoke, that'll give them a boost of morale, that's for sure. Beating Cov and Norwich (4-0) at home did nothing for our morale.
Master Fox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 We doing that thing with Bertha again??? Stop Bertra'ing me man....Jeez!!!
Dr The Singh Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Stop Bertra'ing me man....Jeez!!! Why, have I upset you????
Master Fox Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Why, have I upset you???? No, i was joking. I justed put a twist on the Bertha.
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Beating Cov and Norwich (4-0) at home did nothing for our morale. So losing to Cov actually gave us a boost of morale, then? Bring on Preston, I say. You have me confused.
davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Author Posted 27 February 2008 So losing to Cov actually gave us a boost of morale, then?Bring on Preston, I say. You have me confused. Cov & Norwich @ HOME! Beating Cov and Norwich (4-0) at home did nothing for our morale.
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Cov & Norwich @ HOME! It was meant to be ironic... Sorry, davieG!
Babylon Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Must win this one. It's not must win until we mathematically need to.... i've been seeing the "must win" cliché used since about October.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 It's not must win until we mathematically need to.... i've been seeing the "must win" cliché used since about October. In October I agree it's silly but I do think we desperatley need to win on Tuesday.
davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Author Posted 27 February 2008 It was meant to be ironic... Sorry, davieG! Whoooooooooooooooosh to me then
Babylon Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 we desperatley need to win on Tuesday. I agree.... we just technically don't need to. I know you are a stickler for correct information (see your signature).
davieG Posted 27 February 2008 Author Posted 27 February 2008 It's not must win until we mathematically need to.... i've been seeing the "must win" cliché used since about October. 2003!
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 Whoooooooooooooooosh to me then It's OK, once again proves that one has to be careful when one is operating with irony AND the not-so-appropriate smiley...
Thracian Posted 27 February 2008 Posted 27 February 2008 It's not must win until we mathematically need to.... i've been seeing the "must win" cliché used since about October. No we don't really need to bother with this one. People do get so uptight. Twelve games to go, 36 points to play for and only 14/15 points needed. We could almost take the month of March off and just come back for Sheffield United. Five games in April, five wins, piece of cake.
