lookwhaticando Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I enjoy working. I work a lot. Does that make me weird? My friends and colleagues seem to think so. Anyone else a workoholic? No? Bugger.
Asha Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I enjoy working.I work a lot. Does that make me weird? My friends and colleagues seem to think so. Anyone else a workoholic? No? Bugger. I don't. I always produce minimum requirement. Job done.
MC Prussian Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I'm actually on a 80-percent job, but have been working MO through FRI for most of the past few months. So yes, I do work a lot. Or let's say more than I'm supposed to. On the other hand, I have the liberty of choosing to take some consecutive days off whenever I want, as long as I tell my boss on an advance notice.
AoWW Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I enjoy working.I work a lot. Does that make me weird? My friends and colleagues seem to think so. Anyone else a workoholic? No? Bugger. Ah, but in your case going in to ogle all the totty proves to be quite a strong motivator I guess?
Daggers Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I have had one or two things in me - but workaholism has never been one of them.
Webbo Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 Anyone else a workoholic? Yes, every time I think of work I get drunk. That joke was reproduced by the kind permission of the Tommy Cooper estate, 1976.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 March 2008 Author Posted 2 March 2008 posting on foxestalk is "not" actual work
morris1234 Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I enjoy working.I work a lot. Does that make me weird? My friends and colleagues seem to think so. Anyone else a workoholic? No? Bugger. what is it that you do may i ask sir??
Daggers Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 what is it that you do may i ask sir?? Part-time sex aid designer, part-time mercenary
The People's Hero Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 It should be workaholism, not workaholicism.
Zingari Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 It should be workaholism, not workaholicism. yes it should be, but workaholics haven't got the time to make those distinctions, they're too busy working and stuff
Rincewind Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I have had one or two things in me - but workaholism has never been one of them. Can anyone verify this.?
Nationwider Posted 2 March 2008 Posted 2 March 2008 I would answer the question but I genuinely fear the response I'd get from Daggers. The words tupperware and holidays would feature prominently.
Flynny Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 It should be workaholism, not workaholicism. I don't like either word. They imply the existance of 'workahol' or something.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 March 2008 Author Posted 3 March 2008 At 1 in the morning, it matters not how it's spelled.
The People's Hero Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 I work hard, me. Me work hard. You slacker. Bad bad you!
davieG Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 I enjoy working.I work a lot. Does that make me weird? My friends and colleagues seem to think so. Anyone else a workoholic? No? Bugger. How anyone with over 16000 posts on here can be thought of as a workaholic I don't know. You should consider a name change to Lookwhatidon'tdo.
MC Prussian Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 At 1 in the morning, it matters not how it's spelled. Yes, your posts are more thoughtful towards midnight your time.
AoWW Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 Yes, your posts are more thoughtful towards midnight your time. Lookydo... thoughtful??! A case of mistaken identity, surely?
Dr The Singh Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 It's all relative, I get paid as they require me, as soon as they don't i'm sacked and vice versa!!
lookwhaticando Posted 3 March 2008 Author Posted 3 March 2008 How anyone with over 16000 posts on here can be thought of as a workaholic I don't know. You should consider a name change to Lookwhatidon'tdo. When the vast majority of those posts were amassed (up to around 14,000) I was just a student, sans emploi. Yes, your posts are more thoughtful towards midnight your time. Coincidence. Lookydo... thoughtful??! A case of mistaken identity, surely? Likely.
Rincewind Posted 3 March 2008 Posted 3 March 2008 I'm having to cancel my voluntary work at the Leicester beer festival next week so to do my normal paid job because the bloke who does the site with me has to go to Pakistan to visit his sick mother. Does that make me a workerholic? I still may be able to do Wed and Thurs at the Fest though as they are my days off from work.
