Manwell Pablo Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Good, not superb I dunno about fight club being the best film ever but I'd say Shawshank is definitley up there. Blade Runner for me, Harrison Ford actor, Film legend.
The People's Hero Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Haha is that right, come back to me when you have a masters in film studies mate then we'll talk You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Haha is that right, come back to me when you have a masters in film studies mate then we'll talk people with qualifications in films generally arrogant ****ers who talk bollocks and expect people to take what they say as gospel as they've studied films (as you are now proveing) And I should know my brother is one of that mold.
The People's Hero Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 I'm willing to bet that he thinks the best film ever made is a foreign film with no big name actors and no plot to speak of but plenty of art, style and pretentious dialogue.
James. Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Haha is that right, come back to me when you have a masters in film studies mate then we'll talk Haha nice try but what has your Masters got to do with anything? I guess it does explain your holier than thou attitude. My previous post now seems even more pertinent.

The Reverend Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Yeah i've seen pretty much every film they've done. To be fair they are quite vaired it just pisses me off that they play the italian american in most films. Also i think a lot of people like just because they think they should - like when people say the best films made are Shawshank or Fightclub. I think that is unfair because both of those films you mention are superb. Good, not superb No, really. They are both superb. Plot, acting performances, ability of both films to stand up to modern scrutiny a few years after release, re-watchability, multi-layered.They are both superb. I would gladly watch either now, and bloody enjoy them. I dont watch that many films really, and i dont own a great amount, but one of the films i do own is Fight Club, and i think it is brilliant. Dont think anybody's mentioned Brad Pitt yet, i think hes a good actor as shown in Fight Club and Snatch. I own that aswel. Now that i do enjoy. Wouldn't expect it to be particularly popular on here though...

Never really used to rate him as an actor, but over the years he has demonstrated a wider range and i do think he's very good now. In Seven and Legends Of The Fall hes fantastic!
Master Fox Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Best film: Don’t be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood.
