reynard Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Southampton look well and truly ****ed. Next for them is Bristol City and after that its Charlton away - They must be shitting themselves. Don't agree they have Burnley and sheff utd to play at home both very winnable games
Koke Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 Don't agree they have Burnley and sheff utd to play at home both very winnable games They have Bristol City Charlton Burnley West Brom Sheffield United And we have Sheffield United Colchester Barnsley Sheffield Wednesday Stoke And plus, they are woeful. I'd even say they are worse than us, they've received several spankings over the course of the season. I'd rather be in our shoes now than theirs.
Kilworthfox Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 BBC Predictor this should be more positive after today 1 HULL 81 +22 2 BRISTOL 81 +5 --------------------------- 3 STOKE78 +14 4 WATFORD 77 +14 5 WOLVES 77 +8 6 WEST BROM 73 +26 ----------------------------- 7 IPSWICH 70 +11 8 CHARLTON 67 +7 9 CARDIFF 65 +3 10 BURNLEY 65 +1 11 PALACE 64 +6 12 PLYMOUTH 63 +7 13 SHEF WED 60 -1 14 Q P R 59 -2 15 PRESTON NE 58 -3 16 SHEFF UTD 57 -3 17 LEICESTER 56 +3 18 BLACKPOOL 53 -1 19 NORWICH 52 -13 20 COVENTRY 52-15 21 BARNSLEY 50-17 -------------------------------- 22 SOUTHAMPTON 48 -21 23 S****HORPE 40 -26 24 COLCHESTER 34 -25
Moreton Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I tried that and Leicester finished in 15th spot with 57 points with Southampton filling the 3rd relegation place with 46 points.
lavrentis Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I did the whole predictor and got Barnsley going down!! It could happen
Simi Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 I did the whole predictor and got Barnsley going down!! It could happen Seems there cup run has really fecked up their league form so it is possible. I reckon our game against them could still be crucial.
Thracian Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Our goals difference looks ever more significant. For all our shortcomings, four clean sheets this month.
Flynny Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Seems there cup run has really fecked up their league form so it is possible. I reckon our game against them could still be crucial. UEFA Cup and League One would be quite a combination.
tartanowl Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Good result for your boys yesterday. You've condemned S****horpe along with Colchester. It's the 3rd spot which is the key now. Southampton look in BIG trouble. Good result for us yesterday too and really it should have been 3 points. They didn't look like a promotion chasing side. We're unbeaten in 5 games now and playing well. I'm confident we will survive.

tartanowl Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Is anyone getting hysterical in Sheffield? Not sure what you mean mate? I'm a season ticket holder but I don't live in Sheffield anyway. I live in Scotland.
Kilworthfox Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Not sure what you mean mate?I'm a season ticket holder but I don't live in Sheffield anyway. I live in Scotland. Oh. I mean that is anyone worried by the fear of the drop? I think you will be fine as indicated by my predictor result above.
tartanowl Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Oh. I mean that is anyone worried by the fear of the drop? I think you will be fine as indicated by my predictor result above. The same as any clubs fans. You get some pessimistic doom and gloom merchants that think we'll go down but I'd say the majority think we'll stay up. We've found some form at the right time, we have some winnable games to play, and we're playing quite well. It's only our disastrous start to the season that has put us in the position we are in. I fancy us both to stay up.

Uncle Albert Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 If we can get a point at Sheffield United and wins against Colchester and Barnsley then we will easily be safe. I can see Barnsley being the team to go down with Scunny and Colchester. Free falling at the highest order can see Southampton turning it around somehow.
tartanowl Posted 30 March 2008 Posted 30 March 2008 Yeah same here. You will pick up some points with the games you have. The major worries IMO are Southampton and Barnsleh I agree. They're both playing poor and not picking up points. Southampton are the worst team we've played at Hillsborough this season. Utter garbage. Big game TuesdaySheff Weds V's Coventry It is massive! Lose that and I'll be a bit more worried. I'm confident we'll get a result though. Good luck at the Lane next weekend by the way. I hope you give the piggy scrubbers a doing.
Ric Flair Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I still think it's out of us, Barnsley and Southampton. Sheff Wed will be fine, they are playing well and they'll beat us at home. We need to make sure we win 2 out of our next 3 games.

Agreed that Sheff Wed will be fine, but I think we will also, always have

Agreed that Sheff Wed will be fine, but I think we will also, always have We should be getting a win against Colchester at home. I'd bet on us getting at least a draw at Sheff Utd, since they have nowt to play for, and then hold Barnsley to a draw - sorted. A win at home against Sheff Wed should put us on promotion form ready for next season!!! We won't go down.

Legend_in_blue Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 We always beat Barnsley! It's the law! Like we always lose to Burnley and Southampton. I've never been to Barsnley. Good ground? Can't be worse than Blackpool!
Kilworthfox Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I've never been to Barsnley. Good ground? Can't be worse than Blackpool! Was awesome with 5000 Leicester fans in it last year., Its the usual for the division I would say.
tartanowl Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I've never been to Barsnley. Good ground? Can't be worse than Blackpool! It's just 2 minutes walk from the train station so easy to get to. There's not much in Barnsley though it's a right dump. You won't want to stay for long! It's a decent sized stand that they give to visiting supporters. This was the view from my seat...
