The first had some good moments and some not so good but I'm gonna give no.2 a chance.

There's a Flemish series starting on BBC Four at 9pm. First two episodes. Called Salamander and it's a political thriller series. Might be worth a watch. Finishes 10.35 just in time for MOTD.

Started watching the new series of Outnumbered and finding it hard to believe that it used to be funny (I think, from memory).

 

I think the problem is that the kids have grown up. Young kids making outrageous statements is funny; teenagers making outrageous statements is just normal teenagers.

Didn't they used to leave the kids to make things up as they went on. Sort of ad-libbing. The youngest must be about 10 now not the same because she'd be given lines to remember so not so natural. I'm sure the parents reaction were natural too.

I'm feeling similar - Outnumbered used to be fantastic, it's definitely not as good now the kids are grown up (particularly Ben). It is still quite funny though, and it's on the last series so at least it won't overstay its welcome
