davieG Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 #from a Stokie paper STOKE City will not be releasing any more tickets for Sunday’s sell-out with Leicester after police blocked moves to open up the South Stand. It had been hoped to sell seats in an area currently acting as a buffer zone between Stoke and Leicester fans in the South Stand. Had Stoke won promotion last Saturday, or Leicester secured their Championship status, then several hundred more tickets would have gone on the open market. But the police now want to keep the buffer zone in place because there is so much riding on the game for both clubs. Stoke have also ditched provisional plans for a beam back to an un-named location within the city for those fans unable to buy tickets for the Britannia Stadium.

I felt sorry for you coz i got a call yesterday and got my tickets and i tried to get more than the 3 i ordered and managed to get 4 coz we are all season ticket holders and i tried to get afew more that i was gonna let people on here have but they wouldn't allow me to have any more, which is fair enough. I duno what seats we've been allocated as the lady said they hadn't received them yet when i spoke to her yesterday so who knows where i am, but i don't care as long as i'm there.

I imagine someone has cancelled their tickets and im one of the last lot. I emailed wednesday. And i don't have a clue either but probably wont go to them anyway.

kyleolly Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 Just wondering were everyones going for a beer before the game not sure if theres much round the brittania stadium and definately dont want to gointo stoke city centre i should imagine parking will be abit of a nightmare considering theve finally managed to sell all their tickets.

There's not a lot really, I don't think. There's a pub outside the train station which was pretty decent last year. The ground is alongside a dual carriage way on the outskirts of the city, so I don't imagine there will be a lot.
