Joe. Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 Dario Gradi has said that he doesnt believe Nicky Maynard will leave the club before the start of the season. I bet they wouldn't reject an offer if it was substantial.
Bert Posted 24 June 2008 Posted 24 June 2008 Im Tevez's Source 1. What flavour? 2. He won't be coming here, as he wasn't even there.
eye666 Posted 24 June 2008 Posted 24 June 2008 I bet they wouldn't reject an offer if it was substantial. Offer £700k from the MacAuley funds for Maynard and see if they sell. Or offer them Fryatt in exchange. I still maintain that we need to buy 4 or 5 of the best players from this league who are young and hungry to prove themselves to get out of the league, combined with a few of our better players and our younger players. Preferably a goalkeeper, central defender, central mid, a winger and a striker. Also depends on whether Mattock and Stearman go if we have to replace them. If we can sell a couple of our million strikers (DJ and Fryatt would be the ones I'd sell), there should be some cash available for that.

Finn Claw Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Lets cut this down a little Paul Henderson Conrad Logan N'gotty Harry Worley Patrick Kisnorbo James Chambers Rowe - Turner Andy King Max-Alain Gradel Matthew Oakley James Wesolowski Stephen Clemence Jon Hayes Levi Porter Radostin Kishishev Sergio Hellings Reneil Sappleton Eric Odhiambo Dudley Campbell Matty Fryatt Steve Howard Barry hayles A few who will go in the next couple of days Sheehan - to leeds Mattock - lots of rumours Louis Dodds - to lincoln Defense already need a left back, a centre back and possibly a right back, though I reckon Chambers can do a good job. Midfield and Attack it depends who goes.

teblin Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Mirror: Nathan Tyson plans to quit Nottingham Forest after rejecting their latest contract offer. Would be a decent signing if you can keep him fit.

Yeah, i'd try and sign him if we get rid of DJ. I wouldn't want Tyson to be Hume's replacement though. We need a reliable striker to replace Beastly Iain. Mark Jones from Wrexham, get it done.

RowlattsFox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Killian Brennan and Fahrudin Kudozovic This maybe a complete coincidence but I went school with someone called Fahrudin Kudozovic He was in Derby's academy at the time.

Is he of Bosnian decent? Attacking midfielder, currently playing in Ireland. Really sorted his game out, ready to play at a higher level I reckon.

Yeah he is, i had no idea he was playing in Ireland though. He was a couple of years older than me at school but he always looked like he would make it professional, although a lot of kids do.

He'll make it pro, if he wants to. Has an absolute lethal shooting foot.
teblin Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Killian Brennan and Fahrudin Kudozovic There will be alot of players like this. Players that are not ready for the prem so get released, and need a season or 2 in league 1(of other competitive leagues) before going up to the championship. We have benefited from this in the past with players like Savage and Lennon. Cohen is another example at forest. Players who are deemed not good enough for prem team or even championship, but do have ability and just need a season in league 1 to get themselves ready. Just wondering if anyone had noticed anyone who had been released young player wise who may fot this mould. We may have a few already here that will get a chance that wouldn't have in the champ. NP might know some from newcastle for example. Its things like this that could be seen as a plus of being in the league we are.
lee7 Posted 28 June 2008 Posted 28 June 2008 Dougie Freedman - he scored goals for leeds last season in league 1
bluearmy God Posted 28 June 2008 Posted 28 June 2008 Michael Barnes - just been released by Man utd, hes a great passer of the ball and would be good in league 1 also maybe fagan, been released from the united academy; as a reserve player
