Monk Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I'm gutted that I couldn't make it to the final few away games this season the stories coming out of them sound brilliant. Can't wait to get involved next season going to more away games, better jokes, and hopefully see us win some games for a change. Totally agree though, the core Foxestalk lot are great. Has been great this past season getting to meet you lot. Selhurst Park stands out as the best day out probably.

greenfox Posted 10 May 2008 Author Posted 10 May 2008 Thanks very much for your kind comments , Look forward to catching up with you next season , although if your friends of Raj it worries me slightly .
BrockwellFox Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Glory hunters haven't got a clue about passion. Most of them probably don't know their own "team's" first eleven. They follow a successful club because it is "trendy" and "cool", probably following their mates, and haven't got the balls to make their own decisions when deciding to support a football team.Hope you enjoy your time on FoxesTalk, it's great fun absolutely... one guy was giving me stick last week (says hes a saints fan cos he grew up there) so i said to him "if you can name half a dozen of the players on the team last week, then you can talk.. shut him right up and cheers, seems cool so far!

Sky Blue Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Wow, this is a really inspiring post. When you spoke of your side losing 3-0 to Sheff Utd away and the support from your lot seeming to get better, it kind of reminded me of West Brom away last year where we were spanked 5-0 in possibly the worst performance by a Coventry side i have ever seen. I went to that game and our support seemed to get a lot better each time the Baggies scored, so by 5-0 we all had our shirts off! By the sounds of things, you've done a very good job in getting your 11 year old lad to become a true Leicester fan. I would much rather see a whole group of young lads wearing Leicester shirts than all of them wearing shirts of 'the big 4' (and that's coming from a Coventry fan!) Good luck to Leicester next season, would love another M69 derby some time in the near future. Peace out!

I went to a show today in Nottinghamshire and the amount of shirts from the big 4 were unbelivable. The odd forest fans here and there but majority Man u, chelsea, liverpool and arsenal. I'd prefer to see more forest tbh. One thing that really sickened me was one family, bloke in a lincoln shirt, 3 kids, 2 United, 1 pool, unbeilvable! Felt so sorry for the bloke.

They glorify the "big 4", and some youngsters are "bullied" into supporting one of them. Kids should not feel embarrassed about supporting a less successful club, I'm not ashamed of it. At the end of the day I know I will get much more enjoyment out of my club winning than they will theirs.

Yeah i know us Coventry fans can be a bit uncivil sometimes but isn't that the case with all football supporters towards their rivals? Let's admit it, if we went down on Sunday you guys would be dancing on our graves.

It can backfire on you just like that. I prefer to remain civilised and have a normal conversation. You are the type of fan I like talking with

I know its easy to say but I honstly would feel for you. Few jokes here and there maybe on the monday but after that... nothing some of your fans have said to us on various places. But every support has its muppets and I'm sur ethere would be many 14/15 yr old city fans winding you guys up. But me personally, no.
Ozwin Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 *Wipes away tear* Best post I have read on here since I joined, so awe inspiring. Welcome to the forum.
