jaspal1000 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Sorry dont post much on here But im a lcfc fan have been all my life (all 19 years of it ). Im a student in nottingham and always see matt oakley driving around. This morning he jumped out of his car n i shouted out "Matt, what happened?"...he just put both hands in the air n sadly jus said "i dunno mate, just dont know.."..Looked upset n looked sorry but I just had to ask him, after his to say the least, poor performances (whole team is to blame not just matt) But what does foxestalk think on his future at LCFC? Surely he'll leave.... IMO HE'LL GO TO NOTTINGHAM FOREST? Lives and has family in nottingham, it makes sense?
General Smuts Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 He was playing premiership football less than 6 months ago. Ill be shocked if he stays.
Naboo Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Not a chance in him staying. Was the captain of the sheepshaggers last season and possibly one of their best players. Cant see him sticking around in league 1 personally.
Tilley Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 It wouldn't suprise me it Oakley & Howard had clauses in their contracts meaning they can go if we went down.
Corky Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 It wouldn't suprise me it Oakley & Howard had clauses in their contracts meaning they can go if we went down. I think there's also a clause in Howard's contract saying he doesn't actually have to give a shit between 3 and 4.50pm on Saturdays.
Tilley Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I think there's also a clause in Howard's contract saying he doesn't actually have to give a shit between 3 and 4.50pm on Saturdays. Yeah, I heard about that. I think there was 30,000 people talking about it at the Sheff Wed game

joely22 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines. Take it as you like.
Scow Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 He was playing premiership football less than 6 months ago. Ill be shocked if he stays. Steady on there, it was Derby.
breadandcheese Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines.Take it as you like. If he decides to retire after we've shelved out £500K for him, I will p*ss myself with laughter, putting this up there as one of Leicester's best all-time deals, along with £5 million Akinbiyi and £1.1 million Fenton.
Daggers Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines.Take it as you like. Disgusting! There's people sleeping rough on the streets and he's filling houses with wine. Anyone got the address?
Ultra Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 But what does foxestalk think on his future at LCFC? Surely he'll leave....IMO HE'LL GO TO NOTTINGHAM FOREST? Lives and has family in nottingham, it makes sense? Now we know why he's been sh!te for the past four months! Two relegations in the same season, they'll probably give him freedom of the city!
Webbo Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines.Take it as you like. I can't see anyone retiring when they still have a contract paying them £1000s a week to play football, unless they're permanently injured.

His first two games were really good, attacking and defending - the real Matt Oakley but as Holloway said about a month ago (I think), he has been carrying an injury and has been struglling through it and hasn't been on his top form. He could be a great player for us next year!
MikeyT Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I think there's also a clause in Howard's contract saying he doesn't actually have to give a shit between 3 and 4.50pm on Saturdays. Agreed!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 It wouldn't suprise me it Oakley & Howard had clauses in their contracts meaning they can go if we went down. We can only hope
Filberts lovechild Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines.Take it as you like. Unless there's something in his contract which says his contrat is null and void if we get relegated he will have to buy himself out, which most probably won't happen! Come to think of it thats why he hasn't been at his best recently, its in his bloody contract
teblin Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Rumour has it that Oakley may be retiring. He has a business in regards to housing and wines.Take it as you like. Yeah a guy i play football on a wednesday att jjb told me the same!

I saw Ian Holloway today in our market square rumour is hes to be made a freeman of our city after swapping places with us in division 3
AmericanScott Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 How ironic! I saw Ian Holloway today in our market square rumour is hes to be made a freeman of our city after swapping places with us in division 3 Did he get shot at?
Jonbluefox9 Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 I was told by someone at my college who works for Derby County that all of their players got massive bonuses for gaining promotion and Oakley got double the amount of money due to being captain. He must be minted!
Guest Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 It wouldn't suprise me it Oakley & Howard had clauses in their contracts meaning they can go if we went down. I was reliably informed that no player has a get out clause in the event of relegation. Which is a shame.
