Steven Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 RL are saying Holloway has told them he is staying. Apparently he will be on the Radio shortly.
ibbosuk Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Ian Holloway has stated to Radio Leicester that its "Business as usual" and confirmed he will be staying as Leicester City manager..................
ASH17LCFC Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Ian Holloway has stated to Radio Leicester that its "Business as usual" and confirmed he will be staying as Leicester City manager.................. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Not getting a season ticket now for sure.
MikeyT Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I'm 50/50n on it. At least we will have actually had a manager for longer than 6 months for the first time in god knows how long and to be honest i dont think we would have found anyone much better, in the situation we find ourselfves in, and who would want to come!
Ric Flair Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I'm very surprised Holloway has come out and said this, given Milan's words in today's Mercury. I'd laugh if Mandaric sacked him now because of this.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I think thats a good decision myself. Fair enough he has not doen a good job so far but I think he can turn things around & stability is just what we need in my opinion.
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Viva Holloway! At last, a good decision has been made by the club.
lookwhaticando Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 He's a good lad That's no reason to keep someone.
MikeyT Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Just heard Holloway on the radio. He has confirmed it , but Milan hasnt as yet!
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Well.. that's bloody terrible news Give him a chance for fcuks sake. We've nothing to lose.
stevec Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Holloway just talking the same rubbish he has all season. Hasn't a clue. He could have been taped saying the same stuff 2 months ago. Said agents/players will get a rude awakening - presumably any that want to leave. I will fully be behind him if he stays - but I doubt his abilities.
Mark Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Give him a chance for fcuks sake. We've nothing to lose. Have fun watching Howard and Hayles tearing up League 1.
breadandcheese Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I hope this is a bad joke by Milan. Holloway was hopeless last season. He made no improvement to the team, and arguably made it far worse and less equipped to get the results needed. He made numerous bad decisions, spent £2.1 million in the process and failed to achieve anything.
The People's Hero Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I don't think we should have a manager. Appoint a captain and let them pick. They can do it using the universally playground-approved 'pick-numbers' system (then indicate what number you are to your mate).
LeeCovFox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Providing that this is confirmed, its time just to get on with things. It sounds as though Milan has earmarked Ollie as the man who he believes can take us not only to the Championship, but the Premier League after that. Hopefully this is a long term decision in that case, and the correct one. I think it is. Lets look forward to pre season, get ourselves a squad capable of winning this division, and go from there. Ollie has never finished outside of the top 6 in this league. That was with a club with considerably less playing talent and off field resources. I think we have every reason to be optimistic. This has been coming for 4 years. In fact probably for twice that amount of time. Let the rebuild begin.
