Guest shearfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Oh well, it could be worse I guess, its not like Holloway hasn't been successful at this level before at least his had experience in managing at this level. He won't last long if things don't go right from the off.
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Have fun watching Howard and Hayles tearing up League 1. Why, where are you going? Hayles will go, and hopefully Howard will follow. Who's to say they might not actually be good next season?
TrickyTrev Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Give him a chance for fcuks sake. We've nothing to lose. Thats just not true is it. If you don't get promoted in your first season out of this division you can be there for a long time to come. This was a chance for us to build around the great young players we have at our club and start again. Instead we are sticking with our bad manager who will continue to play his mediocre players. Howard and Hayles trying to bruise our way to promotion, fun.

The People's Hero Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Foxesfan - I remember you well in the Chelsea hotel.

If Holloway stays Hayles will stay he should be useful in League one he was one of the few players I thought actually tried.
Dr The Singh Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Providing that this is confirmed, its time just to get on with things. It sounds as though Milan has earmarked Ollie as the man who he believes can take us not only to the Championship, but the Premier League after that. Hopefully this is a long term decision in that case, and the correct one. I think it is. Lets look forward to pre season, get ourselves a squad capable of winning this division, and go from there.Ollie has never finished outside of the top 6 in this league. That was with a club with considerably less playing talent and off field resources. I think we have every reason to be optimistic. This has been coming for 4 years. In fact probably for twice that amount of time. Let the rebuild begin. I dunno, I think it could be a cost cutting excercise, and not having to pay Ollie his remaining contract and possibly paying another club compensation!!! I wouldn't be surprised to see DOwie as the QPR boss!!!

TrickyTrev Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Why, where are you going? Hayles will go, and hopefully Howard will follow. Who's to say they might not actually be good next season? Who is going to buy a 36 year old Barry Halyes? What sign is there that he doesn't continue to be Holloway's favorite player. There seems to be an assumption amongst some that Holloway knows what went wrong this season, where as evidence suggests he aint got a clue and seems to be blaming the players lack of fight, whatever that means. If we are outside of the top 6 after anything more than 5 or 6 games Holloway will be under enourmous pressue. I can see this bid for stability de-stabalising the club even more.
Mark Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Why, where are you going? Hayles will go, and hopefully Howard will follow. Who's to say they might not actually be good next season? Will they? Not so sure about that. What I'm sure about is I'm not getting a ST till he has shipped out the joke players who couldn't care less that he brought in, I'd rather pay more for one at the beginning of the season once I've seen the squad he's assembled than put myself through more of that.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 On the bright side he'll have to get a good start otherwise it will be sacking time. mixed emotions, not happy as I feel anyone who is responsible for getting us relegated to League One deserves sacking, on the other hand I do believe he's capable of getting us back up and this is better for the stability of the club. Best of luck to him.
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 If Holloway stays Hayles will stay he should be useful in League one he was one of the few players I thought actually tried. You don't actually know that to be true do you? So why post it?

mancunianfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I'm more gutted at the moment than I was after the final whistle last Sunday. I was all prepared to support the club through this season and go to as many games as I could but now...I'm not so sure that I can. I don't know if I can bring myself to go and support the man who has destroyed the club and who should be looking for a new job by now. In short...devastated.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 You don't actually know to be true do you? So why post it? Why say "Hayles will go" if you don't actually know it to be true?
Ric Flair Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 If this is to be the case, then we have to get behind Ollie. I must say, I don't feel overly optimistic right now. We've been relegated, which is horrible and so far our fans have taken it quite well. But I don't think it's actually sunk in for us right now and we're not living in the real world. We are going to need to be well organised and prepared for next season if we stand any chance of coming back up and then pushing on and trying to go up again, and under Holloway I don't see us doing that. He's failed miserably, managed to de-motivate players and upset others. I feel sick, but people should have a right to learn from their mistakes if possible, so here's Ian's chance. DO NOT LET US DOWN!!!!
Dr The Singh Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 He's not really responsible if you look at it properly. Manwell, you're a bad judge of these things. You've proven that over the years That's just great that is!!!!
brookfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Worst case scenario will be if he's backed all summer, we make a shakey start and Milan loses his patience after 6 games! Have to say for once I didn't really care either way. I don't think anyone will work harder than Ollie to get us back up, but evidence to date suggets he needs to work a little smarter. There also appears to be a lack of credible interested replacements out there. He'll receive my full support when the first game of the new season kicks off.
TrickyTrev Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 You don't actually know to be true do you? So why post it? You confidently asserted Hayles will go. Neither of you know he will stay or go, but given there is no prospect whatsoever of anyone bidding for a 36 year old has been and Holloway's opinion of him. I'd guess you're more likely to be wrong.

It aint about Howard and Hayles, all we need to do is hold on to one of Fryatt Campbell or Hume they've all shown they can score for fun in this league,Hume's the only one he doesn't have a very good record and he's improved alot over the last three years.
Master Fox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Will they? He bought in players who we all thought were going to be good enough. The players let us down, Howard and Oakley were in a promotion team only 6 months before they came here. Hopefully Ollie will get rid of the fcuking lot of them.
teblin Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I listened to the interview on my way home, alot was the same things we had heard since he took over. And to be fair a lot of it was right the players mentality is wrong. Nothing we can do now, other than back him and hope he gets us out first time of asking.
mancunianfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 If this is to be the case, then we have to get behind Ollie. I can understand wanting to get behind the club but I do not know how anyone can possibly be expected to 'get behind Ollie' after the mistakes he has made.

Oh no I agree. I just doubt Ollie does. Hume was the man to keep us up remember, we went with Barry Hayles.
