Holloway staying (for now)

If Mandaric does decide to keep Holloway then I think its becuase he feels there no better alternative, apart from the desperate ones, even then I don't think McClaren, O'Leary would want to come here either. the young-and-coming managers like Ince, Ferguson, Grayson etc will not want to risk thier reputations coming to club like Leicester at the moment imo. I think Milan realises that another sacking will mean his reputation of sacking managers will prevent most managers wanting the job. He has just been forced to show faith in Holloway and hope for the best, Ian Holloway should be a good enough manager at League 1 level.

To the person that said their are plenty of foreign managers out there, I don't think League 1 football is the place to bring in a foreign manager unless he has played at that level. Whoever the manager is next season will be under immense pressure, a foreign manager would need time to adapt, would the fans give him that time? I doubt it.

No point moaning about it now. What's done is done.

If you don't like the decision, then you're just going to have to put up with that. If you're true supporters, you'll support the club through thick and thin.

What, is anyone threatening to support another club because of this? I would have thought 99% of the posters on this forum will always be Leicester fans.

I hope this is a bad joke by Milan. Holloway was hopeless last season. He made no improvement to the team, and arguably made it far worse and less equipped to get the results needed. He made numerous bad decisions, spent £2.1 million in the process and failed to achieve anything.

I'd like to point out that MM would have had to approve these signings...

so cut Holloway some slack in that department

it said on the news that MM would be sleeping his dicision and announcing it 2morro... so we shall have to wait til then!

i hop holloway stays, ive had enough of the constant change of managers, no wonder the boys cant settle and win 2 games on the trot.

Auto Promo next season under Holloway, then i guarantee u will all change your tune!

This is not cut and dried. Mandaric is waiting. Of that, i'm sure.

But for now, he's here, get behind the club. All of those saying they wont renew their ST because Hollowsays here - go and support Man Utd- they always win! You'll like that more.

You support the club. Mandaric has been brave here - he's gone against the majority - the opposite to when he went with the majority in regards to Warnock. Fair play to him. The fans are'nt always right.

Give him a chance for fcuks sake. We've nothing to lose.

Err... Yes. Our League One status. >_<

Well, this decision has me surprised a bit. I knew it was an option, albeit an unlikely one, given the fact that Holloway's horrendous tactical decisions and his lame excuses ultimately brought us to the point where we are right now.

That lad now has a lot to prove in order to regain the fans' trust.

Should he fail, he'll have no one else to blame but himself.

And we can slate Mandaric for sure in that case.

Hmph.

I'll swallow my disappointment for now.

Why? Is the league going to introduce 12 up 12 down?

Not only should Holloway have been sacked but so to the whole coaching staff and that idiot Penrice. All the players signed on loan or on contracts have been useless and all the youngsters that should have played were benched or shipped out. This club has no plan for the future. now is the time to get rid of all the over 30s and get the local lads in, at least they will have a go. Also our fans have gone soft with the singing of that stupid chelsea dagger song (which wasn`t that often in the end) and just because Birch tells us to get behind the bunch of losers most fans clap poor performances instead of booing, i don`t like to waste my time and money but most fans seem to enjoy helping those tossers buy bigger house or buy another car, there was a time when us fans decided a managers fate, now we count for nothing but our entrance fee. I hope Milan comes to his senses and gets rid quick or we`ll be watching park football at best.

The way it was reported on the radio today suggests to me that nothing has been decided yet. Personally I think MM is waiting to see if a creditable candidate becomes available, how the season tickets go, how much money they get from the sale of Stearman/Mattock/McAuley whether he can afford to sack him.

Personally I hope he stays.

Yep I agree with all that, on reflection, MM is playing a very clever poker hand, not saying yes, not saying no to RATBOY...

I still have hope the RAT NIGHTMARE won't become reality......SAY NO TO RATBOY!!! DON'T REWARD HIM WITH ANOTHER SEASON AFTER BEING SO SH*TE IN THE LAST ONE!! :nono::scarf::protest:

Ian Holloway has stated to Radio Leicester that its "Business as usual" according to him, he will be staying as Leicester City manager..................

Just seen his interview on Sky Sports News, I wouldn't be certain he is staying to be honest. Didn't seem overly confident at all really. I think Mandaric has given him short term future, but nothing more.

If that is the case, it's a little strange really. If I was going to sack a manager, he'd be out straight away so he's not got any influence on players coming and going.

Nothing is predictable at this club.

Precisely - indecision isn't going to help anyone, either we all back the manager, or get him out and a replacement in. This faffing around is only going to make the situation less stable at a key time for the club.

It`s Milan fault for signing him on long term deal you would think he`s learnt something from his past dealings, 18 months is a good enough contract for a manager who has achieved nothing. I think he`s waiting to see who becomes available but i agree all this waiting won`t help us.

He wouldn't have given up his job with Plymouth for a short contract.

The be and end all is mandaric could not afford to sack holloway and his coaching staff

Why not? He hasn't batted an eyelid at the best part of 2 million being wasted on a couple of sheep shagging shite!
