Scow Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Just found this on You Tube - highlights of the 2nd leg at home. Love MON's reaction on 4 minutes - he looks a bit mental.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 The manager in charge doesn't effect my decision.I support Leicester City. What about that tracksuit the 4th official is wearing!
Ultra Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Just found this on You Tube - highlights of the 2nd leg at home. Love MON's reaction on 4 minutes - he looks a bit mental. He had every right to be! That Jesus Gil was proper bent. Obviously a role model for you-know-who though..
lildave3 Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Fantastic find. Those highlights just show why those players, and MON, were loved. That's it, Foxes 97 is coming out tonight.

turkish14 Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I went to that game and i forgot just how much we dominated them and should of won.I remember beforehand juninho bricking it,cos we'd beaten middlesborough in the coca cola, think he seen us as his bogey team.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I went to that game and i forgot just how much we dominated them and should of won.I remember beforehand juninho bricking it,cos we'd beaten middlesborough in the coca cola, think he seen us as his bogey team. You're right, we were all over them. Until Garry Parker was sent off for a second yellow card for TAKING A FREE KICK TOO QUICKLY. One of the genuinely crappest refereeing decisions I've ever seen
dandannieldanok Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Referees haven't changed, how did Izzet not get a penalty at some point? Just imagine if our midfield worked as hard as those legends
Guest Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 You're right, we were all over them. Until Garry Parker was sent off for a second yellow card for TAKING A FREE KICK TOO QUICKLY. One of the genuinely crappest refereeing decisions I've ever seen From what I can remember, UEFA dropped that ref as punishment for that.
Nationwider Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Those Round 1 draws were fixed. Seriously - Athletico and Red Star unseeded!!!!! It's universally accepted that if we'd got an early pen against Athletico, we'd have beaten them and gone on to win the UEFA Cup.
hairy Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 From what I can remember, UEFA dropped that ref as punishment for that. That and a penalty decision. MON wanted his blood after. I remember the away 'stand' being as empty I'd seen it. Great night. Singing from beinging to end.
BrockwellFox Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 i was there too, great memories - had to hot foot it up from school feeling a mixture of excited and nervous. when they scored you could hardly hear their fans..
Master Fox Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Great days, seems like it never happened now. Still can't believe we didn't the Uefa cup though. Didn't Athletico & Red star both make the final the years they played us?
BrockwellFox Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Great days, seems like it never happened now. I remember someone saying that they hoped that in 10 years we wouldn't be looking back on those euro nights and saying "remember when we were good?" - òh well..
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I remember someone saying that they hoped that in 10 years we wouldn't be looking back on those euro nights and saying "remember when we were good?" - òh well.. It was probably me. I never thought it would last, miserable bugger that I was (and am)
Ric Flair Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I forgot just how much we ripped Athletico to pieces in the first half of that game. Given how we played and were robbed in the first leg as well, we really did show what we could do against one of the strongest sides in La Liga at that time. Footballing Burgalry.
Ultra Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 That and a penalty decision. MON wanted his blood after. I remember the away 'stand' being as empty I'd seen it.Great night. Singing from beinging to end. Atletico brought about 200, who sat in the centre section of the East Stand. They were looked after a lot better than the 4000 we took to their place.
step Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I remember someone saying that they hoped that in 10 years we wouldn't be looking back on those euro nights and saying "remember when we were good?" - òh well.. in remember telling my son, that he had to make the best of this level of football, because he may not see it again at leicester. So far, I have been proved right
Kilworthfox Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Fook me! Watching that just goes to show how awful our club has been ran in the last few years! Players, Board, and managers have alot to answer for for us to be in the 3rd division
JadeFalcon Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 maybe we should all email this to milan rofl GIVE US BACK OUR LEICESTER!!
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 That Garry Parker decision was ridiculous!!! anyone would have thought it was Mike Riley reffing the match
Father Ted Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 That was the worst refereeing display ever! Good times though!
Corky Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 It was a disgrace that refereeing performance, three penalties at least. Martin was not happy, was he? Great times though
teblin Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Went to the away game, it was awesome. Those were the days, they will return one day i'm sure of it!
