Unabomber Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Don't give a flying fook about Fryatt but I really want Weso to stay I think he would really boss the midfield in League one
He's not bald Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Had a meal with Iain hume and his wife last night. i wondered why he arranged this meal quick. Was so gutted when he told me. I am still in shock today. Thinking I may quit Leicester to work somewhere else.James Wesolowski and Matty Fryatt are in line for a move away from Leicester. Depends what Nigel Pearson says to them. Louis Dodds wants to sign for Lincoln. Lincoln over Leicester oh dear. He ordered via the drive through!
shen Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 I'm starting to really hate the managers and chairman who have brought us to this. Pearson has one of the most difficult jobs in English football at the moment IMO. This club has been horribly mis-managed for years and the players that are first to leave are the ones the fans have identified most with. Not a nice feeling. You really have to wonder what has made this club so hard to manage, or why it has been so horribly mismanaged. Ian Holloway seemed to do the right things, and although he was a bit clueless tactically, it never should have gone as bad as it did. Is it just a long string of unfortunate decisions, results and off-the-field happenings?

Is it just a long string of unfortunate decisions, results and off-the-field happenings? I think it's been an object lesson in how not to manage a football club. There are fundamental basics that we've completely failed to address for years. And it's fine being wise after the event but 95% of the fans have got it wrong too. Happy with Clemence, Oakley, Howard etc etc. Yet we still failed. League One will be no cakewalk. The standard isn't significantly lower than the Championship but finding players who will want to play for us will be difficult. Mandaric will be a hindrance too because he won't be able to sign any of the big names he craves. We need young, hungry players who will give 100% to the cause and galvanise the fans. If the rumour from Knowitall tonight about Wesolowski and Fryatt possibly leaving turns out to happen and Clemence and Oakley head off to the Championship as expected then the whole spine of the team will have been completely ripped out. Mattock's going, Kisnorbo is out of the picture, I can't see Campbell or Howard staying. Gradel will probably go. Sheehan has already left by all accounts. What on earth our squad will look like next season I have no idea.

Methinks NP has his work cut out to get any sort of squad assembled that can (a) do this 'gelling thing' well good and (b) keep our mad MM at bay with a set of results that can get us to the Premiership in 'two seasons'. MM needs to sort himself out and take a reality check. Anybody who can turn this around in such a short time frame will become a Leicester legend over night. NP, step up to the plate and show us what you're made of. I'm feeling worried.

knowitall Posted 25 June 2008 Author Posted 25 June 2008 Does this not give away your identity to people who know someone had a meal with Hume? Nope as no one at Leicester know this
Asha Posted 25 June 2008 Posted 25 June 2008 Nope as no one at Leicester know this Anyone coming in mate? Soon?
Ric Flair Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Obviously it's upsetting that players are wanting to do their utmost to leave us, but is it really that much of a big deal? Ok, so some of the players we have are good enough and seeing them leave is frustrating, but they were part of this shambles for the past few years and what's important is we get players who really want to play for us and a manager who know's what he's doing. Whether we'll get that though is another matter. Testing times ahead, I fear the pain will get worse before there's any joy. The signings we make will be horrible on paper as well, but I will try and reserve judgement until the season has started. There's nothing like winning games, irrespective of who we sign. Obviously we'll need the right players to win games, but you get my drifter.
Tilley Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I am quite worried the complete core of our team is going to be ripped out, If knowitall is right, I'm not liking the idea of selling Weso at all. I just fear who's going next!!
MC Prussian Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Reverse the logic: We buy so-called "fantastic" talent from other clubs and dish out a lot of money. The fans are in raptures over these signings as they're expecting an immediate return to the Premier League. The talent turns out to be quite sour already and never really delivers a truly acceptable performance on a regular basis. In the past few years, we'd probably have kept these players, but something outstanding happens out of a sudden: Leicester City FC is relegated to League One. Shocking!!! Now, imagine. So we sell most of these (previously labelled) "fantastic", now known as "distinctively uncoachable and unwilling" elements - much to the disappointment of many fans -, make a nice profit and you know what happens next...? Reverse the logic. Promotion. You know it makes sense.
Dr The Singh Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not bothered, whoever wants to leave can leave, i'm sick and tired of players being at city for a ride and a bit of cash, it really sums up a big reason why we got relegated when many players and there reps can easily just find another club!! Starting 'fresh' isn't a bad thing, I just hope NP\Mandaric can delivers some talent opherwise we will be in this division for a longtime!!!

I just fear who's going next!! I'd say Weso quite likes it in Leicester and the club that gave him a chance to av fun doing what he loves in life. To av sat behind spineless non-committed performers at times in Clem and Oakley under our last manager when he was match fit must av been upsetting as it was for fans watching Leicesters demise. I think a few people's thinking is that if Clem n Oakley cant be moved on as they are on good wages then the new manager may play them ahead of Weso. Quite a possibility and frustrating to be on the bench in League 1 and once again playing behind non performers. This will probably be the only scenario for him to leave.

If NP wants him at the heart of the midfield next season, I think he will stay. He could do a very solid job next season as long as he plays consistantly & stays injury free. - - - - - Bit quiet today for Leicester City isn't it , how boring

Exactly and this is why we need to blood the youngsters. They're going to want it. I'd be perfectly happy if we signed one player all summer, so long as it was a decent centre back as cover for Kisnorbo, Worley and (if he's still here) N'Gotty. I don't mind one of Clemence/Oakley going (preferably Oakley) and Howard can fook off (Campbell too). Other than that, just keep what we had and get the likes of Ashley Chambers, Sappleton, King, Gradel, Rowe-Turner and Beswick more involved next season. We had a MASSIVE squad last year - I think we'd be far better off with a small squad in which we could forge a proper team spirit. Not that Mad Milan will realise that.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 'Next season' starts in six weeks time on Saturday. Really made my stomach jump - seems to come around faster every year. Comes with getting old my dad says I agree and think BNP has a massive task on his hands - not only to try and keep other clubs at bay and keep players he wants (thats if he actually has a say in the matter). But also try and strengthen his squad and get them to play like a team in just 6 weeks. Good luck BNP - i think you will need it. [Edited to add the 'B' on NP - I'm in.]
Ric Flair Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I think we should start referring to Pearson as the BNP.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I think we should start referring to Pearson as the BNP. Im in!

Daggers Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I think we should start referring to Pearson as the BNP. I think we should start referring to anyone who does that as "An Absolute Cunt"
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 I think we should start referring to anyone who does that as "An Absolute Cunt" Well ok, even if a little drastic - I'm just bored of my work and just being a sheep (Not the D**by kind), i don't know what it is referring to but as i said this is more interesting than my work.
Kilworthfox Posted 26 June 2008 Posted 26 June 2008 Not reading 7 pages worth Well Kisnorbo will not be going anywhere as he is injured till September????? Clemence was below par last year and is on seriouse wedge which no one will pay even championship Oakley as above
