maddog Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 If we don't get Ince it will 100% be Milan's fault for being to slow. If we had approached him a week ago while Hughes was still at Blackburn we may have got him now. Id still be happy with Grayson or Davies or Walsh if we don't get him
maddog Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 ..................... The players are all on holiday for another three weeks and the transfer window is open for another three months I'd say time is most definitley on our side. Your just increadible impatient and you want something to talk about. Time flies, before you know it, it will be the opening game of the season. Theres no point wasting any more time.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Time flies, before you know it, it will be the opening game of the season.Theres no point wasting any more time. prat. June 15th deadline is perfectly reasonable.
Stevosevic Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Newton hasn't been correct on anything since 2006. Wasn't he correct with a fair few of the Martin Allen signings? Cort, Hayes etc...
He's not bald Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Time flies, before you know it, it will be the opening game of the season.Theres no point wasting any more time. I agree time is really important,we need a manager quickly to start sorting things out or we are going to start losing ground before we've even kicked a ball in "League1" (it even hurts when you type it!)
Tilley Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Time flies, before you know it, it will be the opening game of the season.Theres no point wasting any more time. So impatient
Linekars Love Child Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 people on here think that we are too big and too good a team and that people wont reject us well we have to take a look at ourselves we are in league 1 and ambitious managers like ince are looking to move up to the championship or premiership not in the same league the sooner people on here realise this the better!!!!
Babylon Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 people on here think that we are too big and too good a team and that people wont reject us well we have to take a look at ourselves we are in league 1 and ambitious managers like ince are looking to move up to the championship or premiership not in the same league the sooner people on here realise this the better!!!! So how do you explain Holloway walking away from a club higher up to come here? Or Hughes to Man City?
Tilley Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 INCE OUT! Well why wait for him to be appointed!!! TIGANA IN I'll save you a job Raj
Moreton Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Leicester City look likely to face huge opposition in their bid to lure MK Dons manager Paul Ince to the Walkers Stadium.City were today waiting to hear from their League One rivals after asking for permission to talk to the former England captain. But last night Blackburn Rovers entered the race for Ince, with Sky Sports naming him as the Premier League club's No.1 target following the departure of Mark Hughes to Manchester City. City have been searching for a new manager since parting company with Ian Holloway two weeks ago, and a spokesman said: "We can confirm that we have spoken to MK Dons with regards to gaining permission to speak to Paul Ince but, as yet, we have not received a response." It is unclear when City will receive that response. MK Dons chairman Peter Winkleman has yet to discuss the approach with Ince, who is currently on a family holiday. A statement released through the MK Dons website said: "The club can confirm Leicester City have made an official approach to speak to Paul Ince about the vacant managerial position at the Walkers Stadium. "As has been well documented, this is not the first time we have had to deal with interest in Paul's services and, given his achievements last season, it comes as no surprise we find ourselves at this juncture again. "Paul is currently away on a family holiday and we will address the situation with him upon his return." Ince, the former Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan midfielder, has made an impressive start to his managerial career. He kept Macclesfield in the Football League in 2007 after taking over at Moss Rose with the Silkmen seven points adrift at the bottom of League Two. And last season he guided MK Dons to promotion from League Two and landed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Remarkably, City have gone back to the same club they approached last summer to recruit Martin Allen, though he lasted only 96 days in the City hot-seat to be replaced by Gary Megson and then Holloway. Ince has been one of the names consistently linked with the City post alongside those of former Aston Villa manager John Gregory, ex-Derby boss Billy Davies and Simon Grayson, the current Blackpool manager. Grayson's chairman Karl Oyston last night issued a hands-off warning to City, insisting he would not welcome an approach. Reports yesterday claimed City were set to ask the Seasiders for permission to speak to former City captain Grayson, below left. Speaking to the Mercury from his America holiday base, Grayson declined to comment on the speculation. He said: "I don't really want to comment on anything like that." However, the speculation elicited a response from Oyston, who insisted City had not made contact over Grayson, who guided Blackpool to promotion from League One in 2007. Oyston said: "I have seen the speculation linking Simon with a move to Leicester but, despite what has been reported, I have had no contact with Milan Mandaric or anyone connected to Leicester City, nor would I welcome such an approach. Simon is our manager and he is doing a fantastic job." Leicster Mercury I can see him going to Blackburn now, although it is a major step up for him. League 2 football last season to premiership the next
Dr The Singh Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 We only approached them? Surely they can reject the approach? There chairman has alwaus stated that Ince is welcome to talk to any club and won't stand in his way!! It all comes down to whether Ince is in the slightest interested, if so then it comes down to what Mandaric can offer him!! Ince is destined for bigger things for sure, will he hold out for a prem\or up and comming championship club or take a chance with a 'big' club with ambition in league 1!!!
Tilley Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I will be suprised if he does go to Blackburn, I'm sure they will get Big Sam in,
Leicester Lass Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Leicster MercuryI can see him going to Blackburn now, although it is a major step up for him. League 2 football last season to premiership the next The source tells you everything you need to know about that article.

Koke Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I would have thought Blackburn would aim for much higher than Paul Ince
