GLC Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 people on here think that we are too big and too good a team and that people wont reject us well we have to take a look at ourselves we are in league 1 and ambitious managers like ince are looking to move up to the championship or premiership not in the same league the sooner people on here realise this the better!!!! hes at a club with hardly any money we have a chairman who will support the manager so we have ambition
Matt Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 hes at a club with hardly any money we have a chairman who will support the manager so we have ambition I thought Peter Winkleman was fairly well off. They have a good new stadium, fairly good financially and growing support with potential and a club on the up...I may be wrong but that's the view I have on MK Dons

The People's Hero Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Yeah well I'm drunk on champagne. I live like a low class, high 'class' floosie.
Number 6 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Let's remember the important issue here. His name only has 2 syllables. Paauuuuul Iiiinncceee's Blue 'n' White army, might be a bit of a stretch.

Phlashman Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 The Beeb have updated their article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7436917.stm Paul Parker (who apparantly "know him quite well") says he probibly won't want to make the jump to the premiership yet. Remember the guy is aiming for the Inter Milan job long term, and his move from Macclesfield to Franchise kind of shows he wants to build up to it. Blackburn is going to be a big job, to finish better than they did last year, they are probibly going to get mugged for most of their best players now Hughes has left and seeing who finished behind them this year (Man City, Spurs, Newcastle) it's going to be a challenge to make a top half finish. If he goes to Blackburn and fails he'd probibly get knocked back down to league one or the championship and it'll put him back 2 or more years. Coming to us on the other hand is a relatively easier job, I'm not saying getting promoted will be easy, but one of the best sides ever to go down, solid defence.... ok we've got a bit of a nutjob Chairman, but he backs his manager.
CKB Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 ok we've got a bit of a nutjob Chairman, but he backs his manager. Very true! i geniunely think Milan is probably a nice man, but he's just abit nutty!

Number 6 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 "Wer'e the guvnor's blue and white army" is ok though Can we sing Incy Wincy Spider?
morris1234 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Can we sing Incy Wincy Spider? yes but we have do it in a ince like 12 year old high pitched voice!
Phlashman Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Can we sing Incy Wincy Spider? That's awesome. Incy Wincy Spider Climbed up the football league, Down came the City, and Incy took the Lead. Out came the sun, and dried up all the rain And incy and the City went up the League again.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I think Ince will become the "Longest" Manager in the history of the club if you dig me!!

Phlashman Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I was toying with "Here comes Milan, he's a tad insane" for the 3rd line.
egg_fried_rice Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I think Ince will become the "Longest" Manager in the history of the club if you dig me!! Racial. Although there was something about Burrows that makes me think he would run him close.
KirbyFox Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I think Ince will become the "Longest" Manager in the history of the club if you dig me!! I think Ince would be a great appointment the only problem i can see coming from it is that If and When he gets us promoted!! he'll soon be snapped up by a bigger club. just when we need the stability in the team to tackle the championship!! but i suppose thats football

Legend_in_blue Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I still believe that there is no way Ince will come here. I'd really love it if he came here, but he won't sadly. I'm not at all optimistic about this one. Can't see us pulling it off. And then, when we don't, how does the bloke who comes in feel about the fact that he was 'second choice'? MM - you potentially have pie, and lots of it, on your face.

Wasn't it the MKD who made it public, admittedly it doesn't help especially, as you say if we don't get him; as much as I think MM is to blame for a lot of our troubles you can hardly blame him for this if that's true,
