Apparently Wimbledon have asked the BBC to modernise  their coverage.

Presumably with younger presenters and flashy previews or short video clips etc to appeal to the youth of today ?

Not sure how well that will go down - didn’t the Beeb try a revamp before and it wasn’t popular.

Thing is, aren’t viewing figures massive these days?  Demand for tickets massive.

Nothings wrong is it?

Yes got 8 million for the finals .

Cant they just do a MOTDx type daily show for Wimbledon along side it?

They do a Today at Wimbledon type programme but mess around with it a lot in terms of timings and presentation.

Was serving for the first set but didn’t  convert then got totally blown away after that .

Disappointing again .

Hopefully Norrie will fare better .

Great match on this morning Gea vs that youngster Wawrinka, Love the Aussie Open, perfect tonic for WAH.

Wawrinka and Cilic showing age is no barrier at times .

Through to the third round at 40 and 37 respectively.

Looks like sans Murray GB tennis is back to the bad old days of praying someone, anyone, makes it to the second week of a Slam, then.

No one out there even close to being as consistent as he was.

Yes it is sad no one except Draper looks like being a regular in the latter stages of a slam .

Not even a Tim Henman type player .

I think Draper can do what Henman did (some Slam semifinals, perhaps even a final) but not much more.
