Bryn Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I think it's a case of what's out there really... if there's an available keeper out there that's better, great. If not, s'no biggy.
RowlattsFox Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 If Pearson spots a decent keeper available then he should go for him, if not then Henderson will do. Goalkeeper shouldn't be a priority.

Daggers Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Henderson is as good as we are going to get, Logan is adequate replacement. I'd rather us take in a loan keeper if needs be than buy one.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Henderson is back in the League we got him from. Ace.
Ozwin Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I think we need to bring someone else in. Henderson has his good games but he don't half have some bad ones as well, I still shit myself everytime the ball is in the air near him. This.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I would like to see us bring in a decent youngster to challenge Henderson for his position - someone like Mark Bunn at Northampton. Great call. Kudos for the suggestion but Bunn is a far better keeper than Henderson. He'd cost around 750k at least and would be number 1 without question.
dog_4 Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 dean brill from luton would be awesome for the same money.
Filberts lovechild Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 In a word, yes. Hendo isn't consistant. I always feel nervous when the opposition have a corner or a set peice and at this level you've got to have someone who is steady from such situations as most the goals come from set peices. Not a clue who we could get in though. Personally if we were to stick I'd rather see Logan between the sticks!
Cheese Me Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 Nothing wrong with Hendo. he may not be the best keeper we've ever had (there's some tough competition) but we've got far bigger problems elsewhere and he's plenty good enough for this league. Logan is a good enough back up too - we don't need to be signing loads of new players to sit on the fringes of the squad again
Father Ted Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 TBH, I've said this a million times but nobody would listen but we should have got Russell Hoult but now he's gone to Notts County. Big miss by us...
iancognito Posted 2 July 2008 Posted 2 July 2008 I would keep it as Hendo and Logan as back up. At this level it'd be mad to have two experienced heads fightingt over the GK. Hendo should be given the chance to establish himself. He's not got Fulop to compete with now and Alnick has - thank Christ - not worked out. He needs to be told something along the lines of "You're number One, fu<k up and Logan gets the spot". The confidence of being named number one plus having an NI international behind you shoul;d be enough of a spur to keep his performances consistent. BUT if Pearson's getting a GK, he'd probably go for Richard Wright. Didn't he take him to Saints last season?

billyfox1 Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Aren't Ipswich interested in Richard Wright ?Not a chance in hell he is gonna come here. he should easily get a club in the championship
PAULCFC Posted 3 July 2008 Posted 3 July 2008 Didn't think alnwick was any better than hendo, thought they we quite simular keepers, only think he had is that he was 10 years younger so should get better. I thought Hendo was slightly better than Alnwick.Fullop was obviously the best keeper we had last season. But Hendo and possibly the lad from the academy(if Logan leaves)will do for me.
