I know that he was out of contract come the 1st July and that we had offered him a new deal but there seems to be no news on whether he is staying or going. I've looked on the Lincoln site and there is nothing about him signing for them as of yet. Has he been down at Belvior Drive for pre-season training?

Nicky Adams was signed with a high goals/assisst rate from League Two, and Dodds has proved himself at that level with an excellent last season for Lincoln. He'll have something to prove as well, after being shunned by so many managers. Rather him than Fryatt.

Considering them people probably haven't seen him play, and he's never had a chance for Leicester. He should sign a contract providing he's guarenteed at least a crack at first team football, if not then maybe stick in a clause saying he can move to Lincoln if he doesnt play a certain amount of games by Christmas? Maybe a little crazy

Plus I thought he was quite a prolific scorer at them levels anyway? Plus he scored 10 goals for Lincoln last season, so why let him go without giving him a chance for us at league 1 level?

I have never said let him go, all i have said is he wont get as many goals as Fryatt at League 1 level. If we get rid of a couple of strikers it might be worth keeping him and try him but im not sure he will stay! And on your point about being prolific, he wasnt at reserve level, was ok at youth level but thats nothing to go on, just look at odhiambo! I have nothing against Dodds, would love him to do well, i just feel he will end up a Steff Oakes sort of player. I really hope i am proven wrong just like a lot of you lot will be if Fryatt is given a chance this year!

He's been with us for so long and never was given a chance. And about Fryatt, I agree he COULD be prolific at this level, if he gets some fitness built up and some momentum going.

The thread isnt about Odhiambo but on that point i agree his loan was a waste of time but so must of the Southend loan been, i think he will struggle at Leicester and wont make it here. I would rather have Dodds than him here but im just not sure, you never know but we could have Fryatt and Dodds starting i just doubt it! We will just have to see!!
DanTheFox07 Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 I spoke to that girl I know who is a lincoln fan, seem`s like they are really keen on the lad! she told me he had scored some good goals for them, just to decide is he good enough to make an impact with us? but Lincoln do want to do a deal for him ive been told.
