Asha Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 OK guys. I have been grabbing a copy of the Championship every Sunday so far this season. When I find an easy bit of video editing software I will cut out our few seconds and up them here for you. Maybe at the end of the season have a summary of our league season to share. There are a couple of things I need to know first:- 1. Anyone know of an easy piece of video software to use to extract our 5 to 7 seconds? 2. When we play on a Tuesday / Wednesday night. When do they air our highlights? Thanks for the help And does anyone know if the Carling Cup highlights programme of last Tuesday has our highlights in it? Appartently not all matches were covered. Ours wasn't. It was just Leeds and then basically all the Championship teams that were knocked out. Even Derby etc weren't shown.
The Stig Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Matt Smith back this week and will present The Championship most weeks unfortunatly. Craig Doyle is much better in my opinion. Matt will be busy with a lot of FA Cup work this season so Doyle will no doubt get the gig on those days. And look on the bright side, Football league highlights on BBC next year. What also annoys me about Smith is he now does all Jim Rosenthal's Champions League games. Jim was SO much better, yet good old ITV sacked him. Pillocks.
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Aint the BBC got a very small amount of Championship games this season??

Nugent Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Aint the BBC got a very small amount of Championship games this season?? The BBC will screen live Football League matches from 2009 for the first time since the foundation of the Premier League after striking a joint deal with Sky that will bring 10 live Championship matches a year and the Carling Cup final to terrestrial television. The three-year deal worth £264m is a major boost for the Football League, which has more than doubled its TV rights revenue and will enjoy the increased exposure brought by terrestrial coverage. Sky will screen 65 exclusively live league matches every year, the play-offs including all three finals, the first five rounds of the Carling Cup and the Johnstone's Paints Trophy. As well as the Carling Cup final the BBC will also have live coverage of one leg from each of the semi-finals, and show a weekly Football League highlights programme. The corporation has also secured broadband rights which it will promote via its regional website network.
Father Ted Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Watch it here How was there not a goal in that match!
mitchofox Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Watch it here  I am liking them highlights much better than watching 3 seconds on the championship
ozleicester Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Watch it here Please, please, please can anyone put this onto youtube...it is NOT viewble when you are outside of the UK
JakeShingler Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 itv's 'the championship' is without doubt the worst football highlights programme known to man. for starters, the programme includes highlights from the championship, league 1 and league 2 - so why the fook it's just called 'the championship' beats me. secondly, the format of the programme is awful - almost half the programme is dedicated to just one (usually boring) match, whilst all the other matches get about 15 seconds. crazy. then they waste time having nausiating interviews with people no one's ever heard of in the 'back rooms' of poxy little clubs when they should just be showing the highlights. and what's more:1. Matt Smith (if he still does it) is an infuriating little twat who. speaks. really. really. slowly. 2. U2's 'beautiful day' really should be laid to rest now...it's played throughout the whole programme and isn't even a good song 3. Why is the camera permanently zoomed in so close you can only see about 2 players?!!! 4. they cut to an ad break every 5 minutes 5. who the hell wants to drink pink cider!!!!! i only really watch it if i miss a match...but from what i've seen the whole show is a shambles.
Tilley Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 Hartlepool & Oldham both look great going forward but awful at the back, This is why I think we can beat them both.
SamL Posted 5 October 2008 Posted 5 October 2008 Wolves are the business this year. When you posted this, they were. They've gone off the boil a little now. The Championship has just started.
Matt Posted 5 October 2008 Posted 5 October 2008 @ Ridgewell's disallowed goal for Birmingham. How on earth did he think he'd get away with that?!
Tevez Posted 5 October 2008 Posted 5 October 2008 @ Ridgewell's disallowed goal for Birmingham. How on earth did he think he'd get away with that?! Well with the farce of Watford vs Reading. He had a right to have a go
