cecchini Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 That is uh, quite a lot. Makes my £45 to Stockport seem a little bit small change. Still skint from it though because my landlady still hasn't given me my money back. One of the reasons why i don't (can't) go to every game. Hoping to find another like minded soul to share a ride with (fnarr fnarr) I'll be over once i get me new pimpmobile

Tommeh Posted 20 August 2008 Author Posted 20 August 2008 What you Moaning about? I spent more than £7 on my first round at the Mk Dons game! You also get student ticket prices and what student dont drink? If a Lucazade and a Mcdonalds is your pre-match entertainment then most city fans will spend more money in the pub before every game than you will including tickets all season!! What the fook are you banging on about? At what point did I say I was moaning? And when did I say i don't drink? I'm sure driving to the games might have scuppered that plan twatto. It's a simple investigation, Thats all.

PAULCFC Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 After 20 odd years of watching my home town club,i don't care anymore.......pisses me off a bit to see some people putting a price on it though!
Guest Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 After 20 odd years of watching my home town club,i don't care anymore.......pisses me off a bit to see some people putting a price on it though! Think it's more general curiosity (well it is on my part it is anyway) as to how much it costs, not whinging about how much it costs. Not that the final figure would ever stop me going to see city
leicesterseddon Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 it will be interesting to see how much a season actually costs. Personally tho i'd only include money spent on tickets and travel, otherwise the end amount could be depressingly misleading - at the end of the day, you've still got to put food in your mouth on a saturday football or not, and things like betting and drinking before/after matches shouln't count in the actual basic cost of following city...even though it's part of going to the football, especially this season! you've always got to remember that unless you spent every weekend sitting at home staring at the floor, you'd be spending money anyway. in any case, projecting costs over a long period of time (such as a football season) produces scary results...if the cost of a weekend night out went up by just £2 (e.g a few pence on the price of each drink) , the increase would cost you £104 over the course of a year - which is nearly half the price of a renewed ST
The People's Hero Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 The only thing I've ascertained from this thread is that when I do go to football, I spend a fu ck load more than you lot on beer.
Teeno Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Glad I'm not doing this I think the results would kill me. I managed to spend over £100 on day of Mk game, and thats just beer, food and a train ticket for £5.50.
Tommy G Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Surely this will just make people cry when they find out they've spent over a grand on watching Leicester and we haven't reached the playoffs come May Either that, or an opportunity for people to gloat how they are much bigger fans they are because they get their Wallet out every week
Simi Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Either that, or an opportunity for people to gloat how they are much bigger fans they are because they get their Wallet out every week That's the one I'm aiming for.

Tommy G Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 What about if you don't have a wallet, just get the money out of your pocket instead? The answer to that is getting a wallet, money, cards and loose change just aren't safe in my opinion, loose in your pocket.
Simi Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 The answer to that is getting a wallet, money, cards and loose change just aren't safe in my opinion, loose in your pocket. What if they can't afford a wallet because they're too busy being the bestest most loyal fan EVER?
Alexikokopops Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Surely this will just make people cry when they find out they've spent over a grand on watching Leicester and we haven't reached the playoffs come May That's the reason I'm doing it this season. After doing something similar last season to watch us get relegated I'm actually curious how much I spend this season.
Bert Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 The answer to that is getting a wallet, money, cards and loose change just aren't safe in my opinion, loose in your pocket. What if I'm to common to own a man's purse?
Tommy G Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 What if they can't afford a wallet because they're too busy being the bestest most loyal fan EVER? Surely looking at the price comparison of a wallet and a pair of jeans then the Wallet would be cheaper. Buy that instead. What if I'm to common to own a man's purse? I didn't realise there was a correlation between owning a Wallet and social status, perhaps I'm wrong.
Bert Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Surely looking at the price comparison of a wallet and a pair of jeans then the Wallet would be cheaper. Buy that instead. Yeah but if you buy a pair of jeans you get a free wallet with them, commonly known, as pockets.
Tommy G Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Yeah but if you buy a pair of jeans you get a free wallet with them, commonly known, as pockets. I just find I would loose my bank cards, ID, cash, receipts etc if I didn't have a Wallet. Perhaps there should be a poll on general Chat on who owns a Wallet

Perhaps there should be a poll on general Chat on who owns a Wallet While we're at it we could ask what people's views are on swapping the Kop and Family Stand. And isn't Rob Kelly on a rolling contract...?
Tommy G Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 While we're at it we could ask what people's views are on swapping the Kop and Family Stand. And isn't Rob Kelly on a rolling contract...? My comment was sarcasm, unfortunately you must have thought I was actually being serious.
cecchini Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 no such thing as a sh1t fan But i do agree that it is irrelevant how much we spend. We all do it because we like to, not because we have to. and about the wallet thing, its all about image really. not only thant, putting paper money in pockets smears the ink.
