Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 I think mine is probably the Dandy Warhols. A diminishing fanbase, been doing the same pretty mediocre thing for years and years but I've been following them since before they had their brief decent spell 5-10 years ago. Largely derided yet they still keep plodding on. And just like City, when they release a new album I know I'll buy it just like a season ticket - constantly a little bit disappointing but I keep doing it out of loyalty.
Durnerz Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 The stone roses - Adored by the local community, Run by a madman, had potential to utilise talent for a prolonged period but self destructed.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 Bright Eyes and Conor Oberst. Pretensions to greatness (it's there if you scratch below the surface), makes the occasional doolally comment, sometimes hit and miss, loves a beer or two but will forever have my heart.
General Smuts Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 I liken Man Utd to Hadouken - Either massively loved or massively hated. I liken us to The Cribs - Modestly sized dedicated fanbase always threatening to hit the big time but never quite managing it. And now they have Jonny Marr and we have erm ... Ricky Sappleton.
Daggers Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 I liken Man Utd to Hadouken - Either massively loved or massively hated.I liken us to The Cribs - Modestly sized dedicated fanbase always threatening to hit the big time but never quite managing it. Dr The Singh Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 A band called Achanak, they were atr there peak during the o'neil days and they just went downhill like city!!
hairy Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 The Tindersticks. Depressing and humorous at the same time
Fox You Forest Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 S Club 7 - 5 or so years of utter garbage.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Take That. Had their peak in the 90s but after one or two major problems declined like a motherbitch. Now back at near the top of the table having got rid of the dross and look fresh and exciting with renewed vigour. For the record, I am not a Take That fan. Except Never Forget.
MC Prussian Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 The Bluetones - talented, but underrated and inconsistent. A couple of lovely tunes (moves) in the past (especially the 90ies), but have since fallen down the hitlist. Still, they manage to come up with a decent side from time to time.
Head Honcho Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 The Cure Never quite hit the top spot but loved by millions worldwide
General Smuts Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I have no understanding what this boy is saying: Can someone run it through a translator for me? I basically called you mother the son of a pig dog.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I have no understanding what this boy is saying: Can someone run it through a translator for me? Ricky Sappleton。 Glad to be of service.
stez Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 the clint boon experience; lovable, but shit and i like them both.
Corky Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 REM- Soul destroying, depressing but at times gives you that memorable moment.
