on the phone in it was muttered and wanted our thoughts..needless to say mine never got read out.....it was similar to this.

"we do not want the red kit back, mainly due to the fact florist play in it..and contrary to what birch used to talk about with his mate kenny burns on the notts radio station...we are not friends with florist it is bitter rivalry we dont go round patting each other on the back.....we dont like them and we dont like red shirts"

no way would they read that out as if i thought they would...might upset some people !

erm i think i speak for more than myself old chap !!!!! red away kit my ar se

I was just highlighting how much Daggers loves the idea of a red kit.

Personally I'd like to see it as our 3rd kit.

The Forest argument is a bit strange really, lots of teams with FAR bigger rivalries than Forest Leicester play in the same colours.

Who cares what Forest wear? I don't look at red shirts and think "ooh that's horrible because Forest play in it"

Some people are far too interested about that football club.

There is a thread with a poll for you to give your thought if you wish.

Currently 70% of Foxestalk members taking part in the poll have expressed a desire to see the return of a Red strip as a second or third kit and this has been put forward to the club.

Your concern that Nottingham Forest play in red is not unique as this was the reason given for not adopting red as a colour for the third kit this season. We believe that this is a ludicrous position to take given our long history of using red as a second and third strip colour. Not only that but we have also played in Derby's colour, Leeds' colour and for a long time in the 70's and 80's our strips were modelled on Ipswich Town...almost direct copies no less.

You will find images of previous kits contain within the above link as well as a potted history of the red strip. :)

Haha RED LEICESTER...

It's a CHEESE!

Red Leicester was a name chosen in order to reflect the campaigning nature of the group, to represent the issue and to reflect the allegiance to the club. It came from a post by davieG almost a year ago - thanks davieG.

And it is a pretty yummy food product typifying our region.

We like the name Red Leicester. :)

Are you gay?.

I wear pink, and am not gay. And looking at the ammount of men about who wear pink I'm pretty sure not all of them are. I'd be all for a pink kit, modern, different.

Mandaric is apparently very keen on a red away kit for next season.

Hope that's true. Where did you hear this?

Fecking cock-on. Just 'cus Florest use red, that is no argument whatsoever.

no thanks , theres nowt wrong with the white/yellow alternatives ; football club's historical identities seem to be watered down enough ,

every club seems to have every colour alternatives

I believe Red Leicester argument is that Red is as traditional a second strip colour for Leicester as yellow is.
