New England Fox Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 I'm getting really tired of the stupid transfer bids I'm receiving. I'll have a player worth 15 million and I'll get offered 2 million upfront and then 14 million over 2 years. Whenever I try to get more upfront they always back out of the bid. Sorry but I'm not going to sell a player worth 15 million and only end up with 2 million to replace him. So frustrating!
lildave3 Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 Just blew a 3-0 lead to finish 3-3 at home to Racing Still 3rd though.
morris1234 Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 started with fulham, no games played but im loving all these transfers, ive always been lower league teams so not much money has changed hands but im doing some great business with some right sucka's! ins: peter masilela 350k daniel opare 200k henri anier 500k vaclav kadlec free emerson (milan) loan until eos savio nsereko 1mill franco semioli 850k outs: adam leijer 250k to cardiff lee cook 2.5mill to qpr eddie johnson 2.5mill to qpr seol ki hyeon 1.4 mill to wba bouazza 2.3 mill to rangers rob milson 250k to crewe adam watts 20k to aldershot and 3.5 yes 3 point bloody 5 mill for john paintsil to stoke. so im plodding on, made some decent signings, replaced players that have gone out with much cheaper options. i have however other deals (the big deals) almost confirmed and they are daniel aquino for 2.9mill BARGAIN nicolas plestan 3.4 mill BARGAIN so i was happy, ready to start season until stoke (who had shown an un healthy desire to sign a lot of my players for stupid amounts) put in a bid of 3.1 mill (his value) for clint dempsey! nice, really nice, but i have a small squad and had a feling im might need him, with other teams interested i held out for more. so i offered him to clubs, first 4.5mill, then 4.1, then 3.8, 3.5, 3.1 still no offers! WHAT! i shouldve took it, i even got a second bid from stoke to pay 2.1 mill over 12 months! balls! anyway 1 week later and the offer of a bloody lifetime! I LOVE WIGAN, THEY OFFERED 3.1MILL PLUS RYAN TAYLOR! it goes without saying i couldt click my mouse fast enough to accpet. lovely jubbly!

Fox You Forest Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 I was trying to get Plestan for my Lens team but they wanted upwards of 7mil. Went for a young Argie instead for 5mil.

morris1234 Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 anybody recommend any good players? im looking for good quality players costing up to 5/6 mill MAINLY looking for uknowns as i like to mix it up each game and find players that arent the usual suspects so im not saying i want really random players that literally nobody on the planet has heard of but not players like keirrson and lewandowski.

If you have the French league on, Have a look for Dejan Milovanovic.

LeeCovFox Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 End of 2015/16 season: A really good season with arguably a weaker squad than the one which finished 14th last season. I didn't enter a reserve or youth team this season as the wage bill needed reducing as money was being lost in spite of me keeping within my budget. Need to add a decent striker next season and renew the loan of Simon Hooper from Man Utd and a play off push could be on for next season. The money problems have lessened since the Marston's was expanded to hold 7380, and I intend to reintroduce a reserve side, perhaps not a youth side though as my youth facilities are poor. Any promising youngsters are sent to feeder club Oadby Town. May look for a second feeder in preseason. For now I will relax and watch Euro 2016, held in England.
New England Fox Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 Tell me about it. Whatever happened to good old fashioned paying for players? The amount of loan offers I get is just retarded. Just now Chelsea made a bid for Santa Cruz.... $8.25 million upfront $39.5 million over 24 months $4.1 million after 10 goals How am I supposed to replace my 27 goal star with $8.25 million? GTFO!

GTFO! I responded and asked for $15 million upfront and then 30 million over 2 years. They agreed and then I turned it down anyway cos I don't want to lose him and now hes pissed cos he wants to join them.
Ozwin Posted 14 February 2009 Posted 14 February 2009 Just signed Fabian Delph, Don Cowie (I like to think I found this gem myself over the years), Danny Hayes and Shane Supple. I should be signing defenders but I reckon that because my side had so little pace in it (I had loads of 35 years olds playing) that it might just be a speed issue rather than a defensive one.

GTFO! Dont you get 50% of the fee thats over the 12/24 month period straight up anyway? If that makes a difference to future bids you accept/ reject.. I could be wrong, though.

Still only 7k in the Championship, A new ground must be just around the corner surely. Oh and who knocked England out in the quarter finals.
LeeCovFox Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 England lost the final on penalties to Germany! A new stadium is some way off financially. The ground is undergoing another expansion of just under 2000. We are not even at the all-seater stage yet!

shen Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Really? hmmmm I'll have to check that out. So far I've always experienced that the money you get over time is directly added to your transfer budget That was a fantastic offer for Santa Cruz

If that makes a difference to future bids you accept/ reject..I could be wrong, though. It takes it out of your transfer budget to spend (or puts it in your transfer budget to spend if you're selling) for the 12 month option. If it's 24 months it will do half this year and the other half next year.
