They're all either toss or Wonderkids. why are they always good at long throws aswell? i had some amazing striker on 1 game, hes had 20's all over the shop, hes 6ft 4 and was the perfect target man except for his heading, his heading was 5 (when his balance, jumping, strength and positioning are at 19) and then his bloody long throws are 20! piss off!

Using a 4-3-1-2 with great success in the prem, operating defensively and playing through the middle. The central midfielder (Defour or Viana in my case) in the middle acts as my deep-lying Pirlo-style playmaker

As far as I can see I have a decent squad but alot of my new signings are my better players. They apparently need time to gel with the rest of the squad. Anyone know how long they usually take to get comfortable or does it vary alot
JoeyB Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 Well it has come to the end of another Transfer window and after being given 26M to spend after i said i would win the league i only brought in 2 players but promoted a few from the Youth. The 2 players i brought in were Messi (40.5M) Wilshire (5M), to fund these i sold Robinho(25m) Yobo (14M) and now 18M still to spend. With the Addition of Messi i have had to change my tactic to accommodate him and hopefully i will begin to reap the benefits. Joe Mattock is slowly beginning to become the best LB on the game (shame its not happening irl) and i have a regen called Ray Peacock, who is looking like he is going to be a great keeper for me, although he does look a bit faceless. The only current consistent players i'm finding at the minute are Henderson,Kisnorbo,Tunch,Gradel and Howard.Which other City players do you find good on FM? I've also just started to play King and he seems decent for his age. I'm now thinking towards next season,it's looking like i'm going to get to the playoffs at least but if i do get promoted which players are good enough for the Championship?Also any recommendations for realistic bargains who may come to City. Ta

I then messed around with budget and wages which allowed me to buy sum pretty decent players. I havnt started the new season yet but i think the money allowed me to buy a good defence and i got sum attackin players. If you do decide to sell mattock and another players starts moaning about it just tell them you are gonna sign someone else and they apologise

He's the only Leicester player that stayed with me to the Champions League. I've gone past the transfer window,I offered him a new contract before teams came sniffing,I'll try and keep hold of him. Cambell has to be the worst player on FM,hes awful,even in L1.

Will possibly try pick him up for the Swans when I go up.

My Mattock is considerably weaker (1-2 stats lower) despite him having had good coaches since promotion to the Championship and a very decent training programme. I even made a specific training programme for him at the start of the 4th season, but he's just not near the same stats, especially the mental and physical ones. What am I doing wrong?
