We now trail 2nd placed Stoke by a point, and face them next at the Marston's. EDIT: Somehow, without me noticing, Stoke conceded goals in the 89th and 90th minutes to lose 1-2 to West Brom at the Brittania! We are out of jail for now and a victory against Stoke in our next match wil put us on the verge. In our current form though, a victory is not being taken for granted.

He was one of the players that are normally shit and useless that I got randomly rumoured to be interested in. You know when you're like, in the Champions League and it's saying "Is it true you're rumoured to be interested in Marcus Bent!?" and you're just like " no." Out of the blue at Leicester some tool asked me if I was really going to sign Robert Lewandowski and I thought the name was so brilliant I had a sly glance. This then got me in the trend of checking every time and being instantly disappointed at what I saw.

With 15 minutes remaing we led 3-0, albeit completely undeservedly. Recently my players seem to be very complacent once we lead, which could be lethal to our promotion chances. West Brom have now overtaken Stoke as my main concern:

They have a superior GD though so I need to be beating Swansea at the Marston's. A point will do it but there's no way I'm playing for a draw.

Before I'd started spending we were 256k in the red. Just checked, they're not expanding the stadium. Edit: Aaah, you get paid the TV money monthly! It's the "For their final position in the league" money that you get as a lump sum.

With 7 minutes remaining my AMC Mark Gates broke through the Swansea defence to equalise. We managed to hold out for the last 7 minutes and win promotion to the Premier League, narrowly edging out Leyton Orient, West Brom and Stoke. My squad needs some serious strengthening, but for now I don't care, I've taken Hinckley to the Premier League! Oh, and Derby went down too! Final Table:

I praised Alex Teixeira by saying I was delighted with his recent form (8.40 and 10 goals in his last five games) and he reacted very well. A few days later it says that I criticised his form (despite me clearly not doing this since, I've even checked it in the media history) and he gets extremely upset about it, naturally. I've tried reloading the game several times and it keeps happening. What a strange and hugely annoying bug!!

On a side note, Portsmouth just did the domestic treble. At least its someone other than Arsenal, they are far too good on this game.
Lovejoy Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 I've agreed to sell Ji-Sung Park to Villarreal at the end of the season for £10million, and have swooped to pre-arrange the signing of Bosko Jankovic on a free transfer to play the role of backup versatile midfielder. Also a dilemna: Van Der Saar's contract is up at the end of the season, his stat's are decreasing so I'm not going to offer him an extension. However I don't see Ben Foster as a Manchester United number 1. I've also just noticed that Messi has a release clause of £43.5million. So do I sign a world class keeper, or Messi?

With a midfield of Ronaldo, Fletcher, Nani, Guardado, Anderson, De La Red, Hargreaves, Carrick and Camacho, he's going to spend more time in the ressies. Especially if I do take a punt on Messi.

Edit: I personally think he looks shit and I don't know what you're all hyping him for, but I'm about to sign Lubos Kalouda.
