davieG Posted 29 September 2008 Author Posted 29 September 2008 If we each take a turn in posting them then we will get away with it.**** the system. Raa. We live in a petty world, it's not as if the damn things aren't widely available having been shown on ITV and Sky before I post them and then available on Virgin the next day. It's only for a few people that haven't got access to these or missed them. Does it mean that everything that is broadcast on TV is subject to copyright? I await the day when an individual sues one of these conglomerates for showing them on TV without their permission.

thybluefox Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 There is shed loads of football on utube is it all subject to copyright then? Yeah, but it'll take the company/person that owns the copyright to contact Youtube to get them to do anything about it. Like it said in the email, The Football League have been in touch. Still, I always watch the photobucket videos
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Just Virgin Media it. All goals from the English leagues are on there. Usually get about 2 mins of action.
davieG Posted 29 September 2008 Author Posted 29 September 2008 Just Virgin Media it. All goals from the English leagues are on there. Usually get about 2 mins of action. Not everyone can access Virgin Media.
philce Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 I've just received this email from Youtube:</h2> So I'll no longer be able to post them. Got the same email when I posted a crappy phone vid of Court scoring at Chelsea last year. It was about 4 weeks after I posted a link on here tho. Looks like the're onto them much more now. We're ok here in the UK and can watch either the TV or on virgin, its those out of the UK that the vids are posted for. Phil
Katy Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Typical isn't it. We all appreciate you putting them up on You tube though DG Next they'll be banning me from putting Foxestalk FC footage on there, meh! Also if I want to put footage on there of say, the Lincoln penalty shoot out I bloody well will, it's my footage and my copyright so they can go screw
Darkzzz_ Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 That email you got is bloody stupid. Like you are going to make 100's of DVDs and sell half decent footage at the expense of the Football League. I hate it that they waste time on such matters when there are more important issues than you posting highlights of a League One team to some fans on a supporters forum that don't have access to certain features. They need to spend more time catching the real cyber criminals. (like me)

Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Good job I watched it before it got took down. Well done Davie G. Do the League have a Net Nanny or something?
MPH Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 I've just received this email from Youtube:</h2> So I'll no longer be able to post them. yes you are - just under a different account name and only post the link in here. Call the video somthing like " dave falls off a chair" and no one will even go looking for it

I assume that the posters outside the ground say the same thing.

EXILEDFOX Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Man, out here in Asia I look forward to seeing the goals you post - especially on the bucket - good on ya !! Perhaps with YouTube if the title of the video was something like, "my mom on the bus" I wonder if they would find the video so easily and bother you with these horses### messages..... I got that same message as I used a "copyright" song from 1962 as BGM on a video showing the birth of my child ---- they must be desperate .... wankers !!

The Blur Posted 30 September 2008 Posted 30 September 2008 There must be a loophole somewhere-get a foxestalk lawyer on the case! Youtube is ruled out but what about photobucket?
