that hasn't answered it, we could of played Wesolowski there and he would of has "a reasonable show" and been "a team player"

What? :huh::unsure:

You are arguing for the inclusion of one player who has woefully under-performed against a player who has been average by saying that we could have played someone else entirely?

I have no understanding of your point. :dunno:

Sorry for having an opinion.

Apology accepted :P

no I am saying Gradel is a bigger threat then Adams, Adams has done no more then someone like Weso would of done, considering Weso is a CM and not a winger, which Adams is, he hasn't done anything worthy of keeping Gradel out, even though he is under performing, Gradel at least looks as though he can create something Adams doesn't even want to run at the full back or even stay wide for most of the time

But Gradel hasn't created anything in any match I've watched this season apart from the pre-season against Hinkley. He has had two good games since the season began and I missed both of those matches - all the rest of the time he has delighted people with his self-indulgent runs so much that they forget he hasn't produced any end product: his passing has been poor and his shooting has been dreadful.

I hope the lad finds whatever it is that is preventing him from contributing to the team effectively - but in the meantime I'll stick with someone who has proven each match that he will play as part of the team (even if he doesn't set the league on fire).

I've seen all the home games this season, including Lincoln and to me it's beyond question that Adams is ahead of Gradel at the minute.

Gradel beat a few men against MK Dons but his crossing was poor, since them he's got worse. Adams is fast, works hard and his corners manage to beat the first man.

I think Kisnorbo is highly over-rated. He's a stopper. His only other strength is the occasional goal he scores.

We don't need a stopper. We're already conceding fewer goals than when he was around.

And the biggest reason for that is not that we're defending better. It's because we're retaining possession more.

And part of the reason we're retaining possession is because most of our defenders are prepared to pass the ball properly when they break up attacks instead of humping it hopefully like we used to.

The only two i really had to think about were Henderson/Martin (not a lot to choose between them) and Adams/Gradel. Earlier in the season i would have gone straight for Gradel but i feel his performance has slipped a bit since the first few games. I still believe he's got the potential to be a top player but he needs to be more consistent. Adams might not have the flair of Gradel but i think he's done a pretty good job so far when called upon. Also, Gradel is a very potent weapon to bring off the bench second half as the opposition are tiring.......

Adams played centre midfield for Bury lasts season, that's where he scored 11 goals from. Not sure if right wing is his rightful position ? Maybe that's why Weslowski has been sent out on loan, Adams might be getting a run in centre midfield ?!?!

If thats the case then it the whole thing would make more sense. It'd be nice to see Adams and Gradel in the same team and if Adams preferred position is CM then both could be accommodated. I'm not necessarily saying drop Oakley or King at the moment but it shows we should cope ok if one was to be injured.

Votes for Gradel who has done next to piss all this season and for Berner who hasn't even played a game?

Bonkers.

That's a little harsh Daggers.

I know you've admitted that you've missed his best games, but that's precisely what you get with Gradel. He's either mustard or bang off form. Frustrating and I must admit, I thought he'd have hit the ground running with us. But I think he's been quite disciplined in some of his performances when things haven't gone his way. His defensive work has impressed me. Admittedly there is still some petulance when things don't go his way and he gets ruffed up, but as i've said he's defended well during these times.

He was superb against MK Dons and against Fulham, and against Tranmere he kept at it and changed the way he played by not trying to always beat his man, but to concentrate on getting crosses in to the box early and I liked that about him. He set up Fryatt's goal and also produced a sublime cross/pass to Porter who then wasted a golden opportunity.

An average start for him this season, but he's still been a threat and has 3 assists from about 7 starts. Nothing mind blowing, but decent. He'll get a lot better, trust me.

Adams has started to get better as well. He was dog rough to start off with and he seems to start games badly when i've seen him (Birmingham, Stockport, Lincoln, Hartlepool) but get's better as the game goes on, if he's allowed to continue.

Both of them are young and raw, but they will be assets for us this season and beyond.

Gradel will win us matches and we need to get that out of him like Bournmouth did. He's fearless, but often he can try too hard and that's where Pearson and Shakespeare need to do their bit to give him the confidence and reassurance of what is expected of him and what his limits are.

They really, really don't.

And if they do, they then go out for a throw on the other side. All 3 of our wingers need a lot of work on crossing and set pieces.

A couple of clean sheets for Martin and the vote for Hendo / Martin has gone from 72%/23% to 55%/44%.

I don't rate Adams at all, he looks poor to me. We must be watching a different player.

I wouldn't know who to play there though having not seen Gradel play since Tranmere. I'm still 50-50 with him.

Think Gradel should play next game, see how he does. But i won't be at Huddersfield so i wont see him again :P

I saw Adams at Hartlepool and Gradel at Fulham. Obviously this means Gradel would be my first choice by a long shot.

I thought Adams was poor against Hartlepool and not one of his corners was in any way dangerous.
