lcfcsam1 Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Looks like villa played a strong side with the likes of sidwell, harewood, routledge and knight OS
JakeShingler Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Our reserves have a 4 game unbeaton run i think.
Daggers Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 In fact it was the Australian international defender who gave City the lead on the day - heading home to redress the balance in the first half. Something our current defensive line-up isn't doing.
Webbo Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 with Kisnorbo and Mattock both returning to action, I wonder if they'll get some first team action to put them in the shop window?
whitlock Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Good chance for Villa to have another look at Mattock maybe?
lildave3 Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Great news again for Kisnorbo and Mattock. Good to see Kisnorbo scoring too. GRadel in the reserves? That just to keep him sharp?
Sods Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Great news again for Kisnorbo and Mattock. Good to see Kisnorbo scoring too. GRadel in the reserves? That just to keep him sharp? I guess so, tough opposition. Not played in a while. Wont play for another week and a half. Good selection.
Munzie Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Hopefully a few more games will be arranged over the next two weeks to keep our players sharp.
Candidcamera Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Looks amother excellent match and well done especially the returnees. Porter there too.
Thracian Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 I wonder if Porter made any contribution to the terrific football we were supposed to have played again. I hope not otherwise that'll probably be the last we hear of him for weeks! Seriously, Kisnorbo will be pleased to have scored and a few goals is the one thing he offers which our current centre-backs don't. Whether it makes up for his passing is quite something else.

To be fair I think our current centre-backs would benefit from better set-piece deliveries. Our set-pieces were the only decent thing from the last four years. Good to see Paddy play and score, will help his confidence and fitness. I've been impressed with the speed he's shown in his recovery.
Stevosevic Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Berner played CM it would seem, possibly a reason why we let Wesolowski go.

harpendenfox Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 No DJ in the reserves. That must be one mighty stomach bug. Wouldn't want to be following him into the stalls. Or is there another story. The truth is out there

harpendenfox Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 It's a hip injury apparently. How very fashionable
Joe. Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Something our current defensive line-up isn't doing. Something I was just going to pick up on, but you've just done it for me. Luckily it doesn't matter too much at the moment because we're scoring elsewhere.
lildave3 Posted 7 October 2008 Posted 7 October 2008 Something our current defensive line-up isn't doing. Main reason being our deliveries are shite.
Thracian Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Main reason being our deliveries are shite. Be interesting to know why given the number of coaches we've got at the club. Cos it's gone way beyond "a bad day'.
Raj Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 2-2 v Villas good innit? By the way we dont need the defence to score. We got goal machine Howard Fryatt!!!
SamL Posted 8 October 2008 Posted 8 October 2008 Not a bad result for our Reserves considering the strong team we played against. It was a good run out for a few first team regulars as well. Nice to see Kisnorbo and Mattock are back in action.
