That was fooking dire, we created nothing, and the midfield was nowhere to be seen! Anyway not really bothered, it was a bad performance but hopefully the players will be able to respond from it. Hopefully

Nothing to discuss. Trouble is the fans will have everyone else out of the side before they look to him.

Funny.

People were moaning about this Trophy at the start of the season saying its meaningless ra teh teh. Now those same people are calling for the Managers head after losing a game in the said 'meaningless' cup.

Gotta love Leicester fans.

Just got in and to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. For most of the game we didn't look interested and were totally outplayed. Can't really think of any positives bar Chambers getting a run out. Was Adams injured? Personally I wouldn't have taken him off.

Once again the fans treatment of Howard was awful, at least where I was. There were complete and utter ****** shouting 'get the **** off' and 'send him back to Derby' after Fryatt missed that header at 1-0 down. Altogether a night to forget.

There were no positives whatsoever.

All the team were shite, including Chambers.

We will lose on Saturday as well. You read it here first.

And scum who celebrate a City defeat in ANY competition have no place on this board.:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Glad were out! league is more important and extra games in a needless comp is pointless!

OK, genius, explain how losing to a team in the bottom four of the fourth division helps morale on or off the field.

Libertine, you are not the only one who couldn't care less.

Also, it really aggrovates me that people are slating the team, the performance, etc, etc, but no one has noticed a real bright point tonight.

Ashley Chambers finally got some football under his belt after finally recovering from that horrible injury he suffered in the summer.

For me, having another attacking option, an exciting one, who is still only young and has recovered from serious injury, is worth more than the sodding Johnstone's Paint.

Good point - one that i was just about to make - glad i read this thread before making an "original" point an hour after you!!!

And you do you miserable twat?!

You moan about people "celebrating" a City defeat in a meaningless competiton yet are quick to post your usual doom and gloom prediction for the next game.....

have a word.

Bollocks to all that said it's only the JPT. Fook Off.

Players couldn't give a fook tonight, and most shamefully only a few of them clapped it was the littleist they can do.

Rotherham wanted it much much more than Leicester tonight and both teams got what they deserved.

Wankers.

I cared enough to go. So did 1500 other City fans.

It's bad enough seeing the manager and team treat us with absolute contempt without tossers on here having a dig as well.

Just my opinion but I think that actually managing to play a few minutes of competitive football, no matter how well or badly, after being sidelined for so long, counts as a postitive.

It'll surely boost his confidence just getting a few minutes under his belt, even if it was a game of less importance than the league.

Scum that celebrate defeat have no place?

You'd better get off here then, you seem to rejoyce and bask in your own self importance whenever City do lose.

I've already said on here that i feel sorry for the fans who made the effort to go.

But what did you expect? Its a competition that they are obliged to enter but both the players and the management know it is pointless. They can't come out and actually say that but if you had a choice whether to enter the team in it or not would you bother? I doubt it.

They havent treated you with contempt because they didnt choose to be involved with this shite.

It didn't go well at the Mini Stadio Olimpico.

Thats what I called it! Haha

Shite game, first half was shit. They deserved it, their defenders were settled, nothing was going past them. Some very poor finishing, Oakley, Howard, Hayles and Fryatt. Need to shoot more, Chambers and Fryatt specifically.

Wank performance, nobody wanted it from us, nobody. Still we turn out in numbers and they give us fook all back. Never mind.

decent enough night out, shame about the shambles on the pitch but hey, what can you do?

Fryatt's penalty was never going in and big steve just got no luck.

Worrying times though we havnt always looked like scoring in recent weeks and now we're shipping them too!

Although its no coincidence that we conceded two with no tunchev.

I'm just glad we've not lost any ground in the league. It was very poor tonight.

It would've been nice to get to Wembley, but now we're only in two competitions, and can concentrate fully on them now.

Edit - People who celebrate defeats on here are twats. Call yourself a fan? You might have your opinions, but you should support City no matter what.

I wanted to win this competition so bit annoyed that we're out but it was a good laugh in the stands so Im not to disappointed. Also with the hectic schedule we're going through at the moment, we could do without yet another mid-week game in the coming weeks.

We were pants, Rotherham were suprisingly good. Well... I say suprisingly but they've knocked Wolves, Southampton, Leeds and us out of cup competitions at home this season so it wasn't a fluke from their point of view. Good luck to them and hope they go onto win it now.

That was a shambles. Defensively we were awful, midfield were nowhere, wingers were poor and strikers were God awful - no pace first half and then when we look a little brighter second half we ship a shocking goal and completely lose interest reverting to half an hour of hoof ball to Howard. That was most of our first team and I'm a little concerned with recent performances. Hobbs should never play right-back again and if he does, someone needs to get their head checked - he is NOT a full-back. Bit unlucky with the ball hitting the post and Fryatt was always gonna miss his penalty (said it as he stepped up - their keeper looked dodgy all night, spilling balls but you just knew he'd save it the jammy bastard). An unhappy night in a weird stadium - 3 empty sides in the mini-Olympic Stadium was not conducive to a good atmosphere. Anyways, they'd better pull their fingers out and demolish Stevenage and then hammer Yeovil to take us top.
