dandannieldanok Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 36% possesion 64% Scunny Your point? That just tells me we hardly had a touch and still won, which is major positive.
davieG Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 I have to say - Pearson sends me to sleep when I listen to him on the radio.Couldn't we employ an out of work comedian to do the press interviews? Holloway's between jobs
Daggers Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Im looking forward to this one. I really am.!! First game of the season is it?
MC Prussian Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 36% possesion 64% ScunnyLets see where you are in 8 cold weeks. In the meantime have your party and enjoyment cos you are top. See ya Boxing Day. Im looking forward to this one. I really am.!! ps its only harmless banter between teams. No offence given. Ok!! See you then.!! There's days when things just won't work out for a team - speaking of the home game vs. Millwall. This time, tables were turned. Lucky win maybe, but it's made up for a few crappy displays so far. Glad we've won and nice to see us top of the table once more. Hope we can go from here. BLAAARMY!!
Candidcamera Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 You have to think that Pearson has been sorting out us throwing points away. If only we could score more goals when on top we could attack all match. A new tall forward for January perhaps.

Lovejoy Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Well tonight I can go out, get smashed, and hopefully for once, not have the p1ss taken out of me for footballing matters .

S****horpe still struggled to break us down with all that possession as most of it was in front of our defence, they didn't do to much with the ball, Leicester had the better chances today and deserved to win. An excellent result today...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Brilliant result, great result, but I would like to point out one thing. There are 4 points seperating the top seven teams in the table. It is tight. Currently, we lead that bunch, and we should look to break away, but, should we slip up against Crewe, we may drop a few places because of how close it all is. I just hope that alot of our knee-jerk fans realise that and don't go all suicidal should it happen. The man that started this thread is one of them.

Someone that actually talks sense.!!!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 HALLILULIAH!!!Someone that actually talks sense.!!!!! Just pointing out how close it is. Just because Leeds are in such good form now, one slip up, and the team could get stuck in a rut. It happened to City who could luckily count on their great from before their bad patch to ensure that they were still always there or thereabouts. The strongest squads in the division are Leicester's and Leeds' by a country mile, though.
He's not bald Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Question for you.Did you win comfortably today? Did you dominate posession, have the better run of the green.? Are you happy taking your performance of late into the next say 5 games? We are top you are not...end of really. If you need to feel better go and bother Crewe or Hereford cuz the table don't lie!
Benjani Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Take note of Michael's comment, however 'hes not bald' I wouldnt expect you to be unbiased anyway.!! You clearly are obsessed with us. Did you go on Sunny Scunny's forum when they were top? You are jealous mate and genuinely see us as your main threat to winning this league clearly.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 I expect both Leicester and Leeds to be promoted automatically come May. There is far too much quality in both squads for them not to, I think. I realise that there's alot of "banter" on here between oursleves and fans of opposition teams, but any City fan who wouldn't want players of the quality of Delph, Becchio or Beckford in their team is possibly letting their support stance cloud their vision, I think.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 How do you know if you havent played to your potential? This is your first season here. Its easy for you to say that. How do you know what your potential is?You are the best in the division this week. Were you the best last week? I detect a fickle fan. I detect a fan who supports a club that used to be famous - not anymore

Im not jealous in anyway, infact I think Leicester will be right up there come May, but there will only be one other team in it. If Leeds get 2nd spot Ill be delighted. I just want to get out of this pit.

Who said they wouldn't want them? Actually just forget it, This is the Scunny post match thread and it's being taken in a different direction.
Benjani Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Can't we have a stickied thread called Leicester v Leeds for all this?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Who said they wouldn't want them?Actually just forget it, This is the Scunny post match thread and it's being taken in a different direction. No one, but some of our fans just seem to have blinded themselves to the fact that Leeds have a genuinley strong team and disregard them just because of the reputation the club and it's fans has put across, that reputation being an arrogant "we are better than this league" one. I really didn't want to say that in this thread which should be celebrating City's win but I just felt inclined to post it. Sorry.

There are noises (could all be nonsense of course) to suggest that the financial crisis, and in particular the weakness of the pound, is leading to yet more cashflow problems at Leeds

No, we were the second best, behind Scunny, as was shown in the league table. If you can point out a better measure of how good a team is than the league table, please feel free.
