Asha Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Fantastic result. Great atmosphere, was on the back row starting 'jump up if you love leicester' chants every 2 minutes cause it was fcuking freezing. Got leg cramp though when another Oakley pre-match shot smashed me in the leg. The Scunny fans were pretty shit.
RowlattsFox Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Just seen the possesion stats and I can't believe they are true, yes S****horpe had quite a bit of the ball but I didn't for one minute think it was that much in their favour. First half we were good, the S****horpe defence were abysmal whenever Fryatt and Campbell put them under any pressure whatsoever, Dyer and Berner were excellent, we scored a typical Dyer goal and then they really equalized out of nothing, to be fair it was a very good finish although I'm sure we should have had a free kick in the build up. Second half we didn't get started at all, allowed S****horpe too much time on the ball but I still for some reason felt we were most likely to score. Andy King was poor today I thought, in fact I was calling for him to be replaced by Gradel but as long as he keeps getting these crucial goals I am happy. Tunchev was immense.
Thracian Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Thrach, for my money, Andy King has shown glimpses this season of what he is capable of, particularly since the introduction of Bruno into the midfield. Today was a minor step backwards but he will have off games, everyone will. It's important that he learns from it and I'm sure he will.As for Martin Peters, I'll meet you half way. Today he was more Andy Peters. ( http://soccerweekend.com/player/index.asp?PlayerID=45579. )
LcFcDEC Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Did anyone travel by foxes travel? If so was anyone on bus 4 with the annoying kids on the back upstairs? Good game though
Daggers Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Did anyone travel by foxes travel? If so was anyone on bus 4 with the annoying kids on the back upstairs? Good game though Kids? I'll sort them out for you. Potentially.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Did anyone travel by foxes travel? If so was anyone on bus 4 with the annoying kids on the back upstairs? Good game though I love overtaking the Fox Travel coaches on the motorway after we've won away, seeing all the flags and scarves and stuff. REPRESENT.
Guest Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 I think Berner had his best game for us today, he was everywhere!! I love games like this, after the final whistle of course. I didn't enjoy the fact my jeans fell down celebrating the winner. Luckily I have a long coat Can someone please explain the offside rule to Dudley?
dandannieldanok Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 I doubt many of those who went were paying much attention to the opposition players but was their goalscorer Hayes any good (apart from the goal obviously). I've never seen him play but he seems to hit the goals quite often and could possibly be a decent signing (surely better than DJ an Dickov)?
Thracian Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Kids?I'll sort them out for you. Potentially. That's it. I getting me flak jacket and me 'ard 'at. The last bombardment I started to raad had more words than The Bible.
Asha Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Did anyone travel by foxes travel? If so was anyone on bus 4 with the annoying kids on the back upstairs? Good game though I was on the top/front of bus 1. The sun roof was broken and kept vibrating loudly the whole journey, pissed me off. Also, the radio wasn't working. I felt the need to complain about that a few times.

BedsFox Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Michael Morrison was my MOTM today. and he is going to get even better. Class signing for little money, even beginning to distribute a bit too Boy it was cold, but the atmosphere in the away end was great, a fine day out. DJ looked sharp, but his offsides...oh brother, someone teach him to time a run

Dangerous all game long, he was S****horpe's biggest threat no doubt. Worth a closer look I'd say.
BedsFox Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Dangerous all game long, he was S****horpe's biggest threat no doubt. Worth a closer look I'd say. Agreed. S****horpe's vulnerability was at the back, the left back Williams was horrible, Mirfin the CB a carthorse and 1st halff especially Dyer and the front two ran them ragged Going forward they tried to play it though, some good young kids in the front six such as Hayes and the wide player Woolyard (? spelling)

Kilworthfox Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Im not jealous in anyway, infact I think Leicester will be right up there come May, but there will only be one other team in it. If Leeds get 2nd spot Ill be delighted. I just want to get out of this pit. Leicester don't want to come 2nd to anyone! Especially Leeds! <_< You talk as if Leeds are some wonderful club, the fact is you are below us because we have performed better than any other club until this point in the season, which at present is the best indication of how things will end up in May. We however have won fu ck all at present, just like the rest of the 92 league clubs. Nothing has ever been or will be decided in November, but Leicester have certainly proved they can deal with League 1 opposition as they have only lost 2 games and have a very good defensive record far and away better than any other side in the division. Trust me! We have not even started to play like the side could. I don't like LCFC very much at the moment, I am very down on them, but as bad as we are we are STILL better than the awful clubs in this division. We have thrown away points, and given 2 victories to Millwall and Brighton. We will be the architects of our own down fall not Leeds, surely you big boys have bigger fish to fry? Man U fans not listening or are you fed up with the jip you get?

Yeah though he was quality today - he seemed so eager to get the ball at any opportunity and drive forward. His presence is really working to help Oakley and King too.
samuel Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Of course. Daggers, you have typed two fooking hilarious things in this post....Got to give it to you son....You are a funny boy!!!
Katy Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 We should've wrapped it up in the first half, we had enough chances to but fook that we won, and I think we deserved to overall. DJ is a muppet when it comes to offside but we worked hard and didn't fook up like we usually do. It was a six pointer that, in the past, we wouldn't have won but we did today and I'm proud of them for that. Got a bit battered celebrating the goals, especially the winner but who gives a fooooooook!
Raj Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 The doom mongers will have nowt to cry about this weekend!! Miserable bastards!!! Well Done boys... your all still wankers though!!!
DB11 Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 DJ really needs to learn the offside law. Even when he was looking along the line you could tell he was a mile offside...
Raj Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 DJ really needs to learn the offside law.Even when he was looking along the line you could tell he was a mile offside... He's so well endowed that the rest of his body IS onside Its just his'manhood' that is off side...# Allegedly!!
maddog Posted 22 November 2008 Author Posted 22 November 2008 Brilliant result, great result, but I would like to point out one thing. There are 4 points seperating the top seven teams in the table. It is tight. Currently, we lead that bunch, and we should look to break away, but, should we slip up against Crewe, we may drop a few places because of how close it all is. I just hope that alot of our knee-jerk fans realise that and don't go all suicidal should it happen. The man that started this thread is one of them. fook off u **** im not kneejerk at all
Corky Posted 22 November 2008 Posted 22 November 2008 Just got back, and what a fantastic day. Really proud of the team, put in a superb effort and deserved the win. We set the standard by attacking from the off and forced their keeper into some fine saves. Dyer's goal was well-taken and no more than we deserved. Sc unthorpe came back and got a goal, pressed us hard in the second half but we defended superbly, and got a winner. You can't ask for much more. Thought Morrison and Tunchev were outstanding, and Berner looked a real threat going forward in the first half. Oakley imposed himself more, though King, depsite his goal, looked a little off-colour. Took his goal very well though. Campbell needs to stay onside more, but he got stuck in and battled hard. The officials, all three of them, were awful, absolutely terrible. A clear penalty when their keeper took Fryatt out, and no action taken when both Edworthy and Hobbs were blatantly fouled late. Their goal came after a clear push on Mattock near the corner flag, about five yards from the linesman, yet he didn't notice it. Our fans were very good today. Great turn-out, and we created a good noise. The fans in the side stand were excellent, and those behind the goal kept the songs coming. All-in-all a great day, thoroughly enjoyable and definitely worth it. Well done to Nigel, the whole team and the supporters
