:chant: what a win, thanks to andy king!!! Come on!!!

We are top of the league i say we are top of the league!!

2 home games in a row next hopefully increase our lead at the top.

Dont change this winning team, give DJ the start against Crewe.

Two years ago I said Andy King reminded me of Martin Peters going forward.

What's surprised me is that it's not been so much in the air as on the ground that his marksmanship has been a threat.

Times on his way through the ranks City would score a goal from a crowd of players and when the mellee cleared it was Kingy who was on the scoresheet.

Matt Piper referred to his "known" technique and I couldn't agree more. He's a cool finisher and is prepared to take the responsibility for shooting.

Today's strike sounded like another beauty from a guy who's aleady scored four of the most memorable goals I've seen from City in the last two seasons even if one was in a friendly.

Today's was so vital. Back we go to the top despite a performance when we had little more than a third of possession.

Next week there'll be clamour for the return of Howard but we beat the League leaders today and haven't had that sort of lift for a long time, however indifferent the performance.

DJ played a part in the first goal, people should not forget that.

But surely the big hero today was Kingy, the kid we didn't want to use last season.

Pearson still frustrates me no end. But he's made no mistake in that department.

And at last we've finished on the right right side of a dramatic finish.

Closing down quickly. Rock solid in midfield. Front two working tirelessly...

That's reassuring. But it's the "onslaught" bit that bothers me and the level of their possession.

Let's hope we get some confidence from this and start building the gap we should have been building for a while now.

100% sympathetic with Pearson's relief at closing a game out.
