I cant see this happening at all doesnt make much sense for Kevin Phillips. Also on the Matty Fryatt topic, i cant see why any club would offer £2mill for someone who would be available on a free in 6 months. We'd be lucky to get £1mill for Fryatt, if we did sell in the january window IMO

Fryatt has never proved himself at a higher level, offering him a 3-4 extension would IMO be a bad move by the club. I'd rather we kept him till the end of the season, or cash in to a panic buying club such as Derby for £2mil+, this sounds a little crazy, but I think it could well happen.

There are a number of options with £2million we can sign a decent striker who can score at this level and higher.

There were a number the other season, Eastwood, Varney and some guy called DJ Cambell, they all moved for millions and have achieved the square root of fook all.

Who do people rate that we could possibly sign and will deliver 15 goals after Christmas, and if Fryatt goes we may need two of them. '

See my post above to which people have failed to rush forward and answer.

The idea that we can easily replace a player who has scored 19 goals is ludicrous, yes he may fail, again, at Championship level but if we sold him in January the we may not make The Championship.

That's how I see it too.

Irrespective of what happens when his contract expires he's worth more to us in this campaign than any amount we'd be likely to sell him for.

And what manager would wish to sell and take the associated risks anyway?

Right now he's probably the last player in the entire squad I'd want to sell.

I don't think Birmingham would let him go even on loan because he's doing well for them at the minute.
