DJ Barry Hammond Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Sounds shite, but starting a Football Team and getting all my mates together and being a Sunday Team and having a laugh at the same time. What's yours? Has anyone been really adult about this thread and posted... Ur muh!
Head Honcho Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Going to every Leicester match. For me it would be surfing on Ipanema or Watching a match at the Maracana.
Poakey Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 For me getting the missus pregnant, only 5 months to go till my little girl has a bro or sis!!
Sods Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Passed my driving test, Had my last ever check up from a tumour i had ten years ago and then getting rid of my girlfriend. 2008 was a good year, 18. Reading festival was awesome, went to holiday with my mates to Crete and of course Devon. Good good year. Hopefully 2009 is just as good, but its time to grow up and get a job or go to Uni. Oh congrats to Lildave. Thats awesome mate
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Getting my current job. I absolutely love it and I'm a far, far happier person than I was this time last year. I used to absolutely dread Monday mornings, hated every second of it and felt pressure to enjoy the weekends. Now I haven't got a care in the world in comparison. Just like when I passed my driving test last year, I still savour every moment of not being in my old job, just like I savour every moment of not having to get the bus. Stuff that other people might take for granted but I'm not bothered. As for trivial things, drunkenly spending £468.73 in a lapdancing club in Paris was brilliant. If you offered me the money back now, I wouldn't take it for the amount I (and others) have laughed about it. Forgetting to get my mate a birthday present, being in her bad books for it all night and ending up shagging her at the end of the night was good. Wasn't even awkward, she went off to meet her boyfriend at the airport and me and her still get on brilliantly. Was superb. This year, really enjoyed Cardiff and Barnsley away last season and all the away wins this season. Worst thing was probably winning £1,800 in May.
Koke Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 I've done some silly things in 2008 like speeding on the M1 to Leeds and ended up losing my license. It was a Sunday night and the motorway was empty but still a bit silly of me. But the good things are I'm moving to Leeds any time in the near future, just about to finalise a few things. And went back to the motherland in the summer and saw my grandparents for the first time ever. I can't remember ever being so emotional before. Life just generally feels good, compared to 2006 and 2007.
Guest Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Getting sent to Washington to cover the US Election for work. Partly cos it was just very cool to be there at that time, and partly cos it means they trust me to work on high profile outside broadcasts now so that's all good
syston_fox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 After Posh, Leeds and Hereford, I'll have it to 63 professional football matches in 2008 with 28 new ground along the way. Only Leicester game I've missed was the first of the year away at QPR - damn that hangover. (Was a brilliant night before hand though!!) On a more personal note, started my first full time job on 2nd January and still haven't been fired so that's all good!! Oh and finally got together with a girl I'd liked since we were at school together doing GCSEs. Never told her that I liked her until this year and while it only lasted a month i'm no longer wondering what might have been.
LeeCovFox Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Finding out that, in my eyes the sweetest, most beautiful girl in the world felt the same about me as I did her, and even though we are in the early stages of this thing, knowing that we are both really happy at the moment and that the reason for it is us.
Corky Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Finally, after years of trying, managing to pull Danielle Lloyd. We're very happy, and I'm bringing her to the Hereford match.
Unabomber Posted 18 December 2008 Posted 18 December 2008 Won £100 twice in two seperate hands playing online poker. Massive win for me. Other than that having a great year at uni and passing my first year by doing no work.
