Uncle Albert Posted 25 December 2008 Posted 25 December 2008 Some cracking games. Shame Sky have only decided to show one of the main crackers in Villa. Pompey and Liverpool games look like they could be great games but Sky choose to show Stoke Yanited may have a few goals but I dont think it will be entertaining enough for me. Unless a certain someone produces magic. MOTD and The Championship will be tastey tomorrow night and the 27th.

Mickey O'Neil Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Anyone watching Setanta? Phil Brown Just gave his half-time talk/rollocking on the pitch in front of the Hull fans. Pis$ed off with the crap mention/one sentence of the Leeds/Leicester game
Uncle Albert Posted 26 December 2008 Author Posted 26 December 2008 Robbie Keane 3 in 2. Liverpool look to be going back top of the league.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Tempted to bring up that old Wenger thread in which I defended Keane against someone now.... I love being proved right.
Corky Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Talking about the Stoke game, why do people still boo Ronaldo? I'll admit I can't stand the bloke, but what's the point in booing him?

I'll admit I can't stand the bloke, but what's the point in booing him? On todays performance it makes him get frustrated and play bad

Proved that it was a better game than Utd Stoke didnt it? Arsenal Villa was a great game and fairplay to Villa. Pompey's bubble has burst and Sunderland are back to normal ways. Brilliant day of football.

Pompey's bubble has burst and Sunderland are back to normal ways. Brilliant day of football. Drawing games? Pompey's slump just shows how much of their success was down to Redknapp. The same happened when Curbishley left Charlton and Big Sam left Bolton. I hope Adams get's a chance to turn things around though, he seems quite unique with his interviews but most of all I don't want to see English managers fail.

Bolton arent doing that bad under Ginger Mourinho. Charlton were always doomed as signing players isnt something that is good at The Valley. Yep Pompey are stumped without Redknapp, in ways I think Adams thought he had it laid on a plate for him because Redknapp left everything for him but it hasnt worked out that way. Losing 3-0 at home to the Geordies was an all time low for Pompey they can be thankful Joey Barton wasnt fit because it could of been alot worse. Roy Hodgeson is my favourite English manager by a mile. Worked wonders at Fulham this season! Some decent players there aswell. This is one of the main reasons I like Fulham... Home League Table 1. Fulham 20 points 2. Man Utd 19 points 3. Liverpool 19 points Genius!
Father Ted Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Roy Hodgson is my favourite English manager by a mile. Worked wonders at Fulham this season! Some decent players there aswell. Same here. Absolute legend.
Cobbo Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...v_1/7787656.stm Eat that.
Fosse Boy Posted 26 December 2008 Posted 26 December 2008 Bring back Christmas Day football too says I, Boxing Day is simply not enough! Talking about the Stoke game, why do people still boo Ronaldo? I'll admit I can't stand the bloke, but what's the point in booing him? Becoz we don'ts loik forrenerrrrrrrrrrsssss!!!! To be honest, I'd probably boo him though, and I've no idea what it would achieve either. Roy Hodgson is my favourite English manager by a mile. Worked wonders at Fulham this season! Some decent players there aswell. After giving his players a lecture on fair play and not cheating the other day, I've an awful lot of time for the bloke. A good egg in the modern game.
Ultra Posted 27 December 2008 Posted 27 December 2008 Same here. Absolute legend. Why? For trying to set a record for the number of 0-0 draws in a season?
