Palace Post Match

Were never going to score with that front pairing, main reason I stayed home. Sounded like we could have won that if there was any kind of quality up top.

Why are we persisting with Dickov?

Just a ridiculous result and the last thing we need.

I said to start with that no-one would have much chance to make any sort of difference to career here and so it proved.

Our promising 4-5-1 didn't sound like it should have been with wingers and central midfield players driving forward into the box.

Played with such apparent reserve I couldn't figure the point of it.

When we tried to go more attacking I fail to see why we didn't use Porter and go 3-4-3 with Howard, Dickov and Gradel up front. We might have won, we might have lost but I doubt we'd have been pissing about with a replay.

As it is Porter, one of our best passers and most creative players, spent another day totally wasting his time.

And that on an afternoon when, as so often recently, Dyer hardly had a sniff.

We never really went for it and have now landed ourselves with a totally unwanted trip to London.

Bloody glad I saw it coming and stayed at home. I doubt we had more than three shots on target. i

In Porter's place I be checking out of the replay with a knock in training and simply looking forward to a new start at the end of the season somewhere where there's the chance of a game.

Mind you, that said, I have heard that Porter quite fancies playing in London as he clearly did against Chelsea last season.

More chance though that he'll gradually become totally forgotten and what a waste that would be.

If David Batty and Peter Reid could play for England why the hell Porter sits on a freezing bench I'll never know.

I'm annoyed that we have a replay in the sense that we should be focusing on the league but delighted that we get a trip down to Selhurst Park. The last time I went down there was one of the best away days out I've ever had!

Of course...You do have to look on the bright side....NP won manager of the month and we never lost!!!

And i have no been informed that it will NOT be tonight...probably.

But thanks....Ive just been told we're getting clear bits of jelly...so it could be soon lol

Glad I didn't listen to it, then. I've just woken up.

Beat them away, then everything will be in butter again.

But for now, let's focus on the league.

Was there any any atmosphere today? I can't remember anything more than minimal reaction. It sounded as if the whole crowd had drifted off to a light sleep and only kind rattled their programmes on the rare occasions when something threatened to happen.

It's fact not excuse, we are a third division club they are a second division club. We played 4-5-1 without our best player. A draw is a decent result.

Not to me it wasn't.

Apart from Palaces dodgy last minute equaliser on that day!

Disappointed with that. Felt Palace were there for the taking and we never really went for it.

Couldn't see us scoring.

We spied you Nussul.

Right FT gathering in SK1 today!

If you didn't go how can you get a fair reflection on what went on and who played well. take it you listened to it on the radio, which is commentated by two people giving THEIR opinion, tit
