Salieri Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Was pretty funny that he didnt get it right! The man is as smug as he is talented. Still expecting there to somehow be a "twist" cos he never seems to get anything wrong!
maddog Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Just watched on +1. One away how unlucky, he is human afterall. He must have some physics etc idea though to get 1 away. And all that stuff with the speed gun. And ball on 37 on squash court. I bet he thought he was certain to get 180k
Part Of The Crowd Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Why was it illegal what he did? Probably something to do with Defrauding the casino and of course nobody would let him get away with showing people how to cheat the system at casino's.
Benji Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 I found it a lot more powerful the fact that he failed. The mini tests proved what he was capable of doing and being just one off (or spot on if he meant to fail) proves he can do it. Failing just made for better entertainment because for the 50 minutes leading up to it you were thinking "yes yes we know you're going to win". That said, he may well have just screwed up
Matt Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Why was it illegal what he did? Probably something to do with Defrauding the casino and of course nobody would let him get away with showing people how to cheat the system at casino's. Along with Cameras (Hidden Cameras) in a Casino.
Babylon Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 If he wanted to win the money he would have, he chose to lose. With the lottery numbers, he chose to make you think he knew what they were... in reality we all know it was done with split screens. For those who will say "why would he choose to lose?". It all adds to the mystery, he wants you to think he CAN fail as it makes his other stunts look better. The reality is with these big stunts he can't fail unless he wants to.... they are just magic tricks.
Trumpet Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 To be fair though, by picking 8, it could have landed on 23 or 30 and people would say, "Well, he was quite close" But, the odds of getting one of the 2 numbers around the one he chose is about 11/1. Not really that amazing.
coale39 Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 I think what he should have done was if he thought it was gonna be 8, spread the bet evenly between 23, 8, and 30. still made loads.
Granno Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Sorry for dragging this up. Went to see Enigma last night in Birmingham. Absolutley outstanding show. I recommend grabbing a ticket while you can.
Craig Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Sorry for dragging this up. Went to see Enigma last night in Birmingham. Absolutley outstanding show. I recommend grabbing a ticket while you can. Yeah, when i saw him in Milton Keynes he was amazing. How the fook does he do it!?
Granno Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Yeah, when i saw him in Milton Keynes he was amazing. How the fook does he do it!? I've spent so much time wondering since last night how things were done. Probably best not to think about it, and just enjoy it. I thought the ending was super, I won't spoil it for others.
Bluefoxtim Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Sorry for dragging this up. Went to see Enigma last night in Birmingham. Absolutley outstanding show. I recommend grabbing a ticket while you can. Bet it wasn't as good as Peter Kay at the M.E.N last night
dandannieldanok Posted 1 May 2010 Posted 1 May 2010 Me and a mate went to see Enigma at the De Mont back in March. The good thing about the show is that it's enjoyable whether you really believe all the stuff or not, Brown is a good showman and I too recommend it.
Ozwin Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Absolutely ****ing laughable, usually I think his stuff is pretty legit but this is gonna be the end of Derren Brown. So bad.
Unabomber Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 The train line bit was ridiculous, how it took around ten minutes for the train to travel about 10 metres, and then he unlocks the chains in seconds.
Ozwin Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 The train was going well fast at first then it cut to the sideways on view and it was going at like 5mph. I'm convinced the whole thing was fake and I usually enjoy most of Derren Brown's stuff.
Unabomber Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 The whole thing could easily be fake, including the family etc because at the end of the day it is just an illusion which has a logical solution.
Fox You Forest Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 Not his best effort but still fairly enjoyable. Ozwin.
