RowlattsFox Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Hopefully a move just to regain some confidence, which he has lacked in his last few appearances, becuase I think he could be a decent player.
James. Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I expected a lot more from him. Regular football should do him good.

Agreed. When he was getting games earlier in the season you could see that the lad's got talent, but since Nige's found a first 11 that's consistent you can hardly expect him to change that unneccessarily.
Tilley Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Hopefully he can get some first team football there. With Gradel, Oakley, Davies, King, Dyer, Berner & now Cleverly, he isn't going to get in here anytime soon.
JoeyB Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I expected a lot more from him. Regular football should do him good. I expected more aswell, but hopefully this will enable him to get the first team football he wants and he will come back briming with confidence.
Ric Flair Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 They thought they'd signed him in the summer, only for us to come in for him. Hopefully he can get a few games under his belt, score a few goals and then come back to Pearson with a point to prove.

My thoughts exactly. From what I've seen on him so far I've been largely unimpressed, so this move is a good opportunity to prove to the manager what he can do. Makes sense.
Jimmy Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 he hasn't really impressed me so far, this should get him some regular football and hopefully help him find some form
CosbehFox Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Personally I prefer him over Gradel. I reckon he can make it but he needs games.
GLC Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 hope he does well. get some playing time under his belt
Stevosevic Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Shows that clearly Gradel is higher in the pecking order. Good news.
Thracian Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Good move for the guy. Can't see him making it here.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Adams has talent in abundance, he's proven that at League Two level. I really want him to succeed here, hopefully this move will boost his confidence. I'd still like to see him in a City shirt again though.

Indeed he must have watched so much football since Pearson's arrival that his next contract offer is more likely to be as a scout than a footballer!

Indeed he must have watched so much football since Pearson's arrival that his next contract offer is more likely to be as a scout than a footballer! Porter has been included in a couple of squads recently, he may not of played but he is clearly back involved with the 1st team squad
Bald Fox Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I think Adams just needs a few games under his belt, he certainly appears to have some talent. I thought he looked quite good when he had a bit of a run in the team earlier in the season.
clazkel Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I think Adams had done ok when hes come on this season, i would prefer him playing, or on the bench rather than Gradel as hes a better all round player imo. I read somewhere that his best position is centre midfield, and he hasnt had his chance to play in that position with us. Pre-season he played well, and i'm hoping he gets to play at Rochdale and comes back eager and fitter, and really goes for his place in the team. I think hes got plenty of talent and will do well for us
Narborough Bod Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I think Adams just needs a few games under his belt, he certainly appears to have some talent. I thought he looked quite good when he had a bit of a run in the team earlier in the season. I see him as someone who has good vision and a decent footballing brain, but just can't seem to execute the final pass. Hopefully a months loan will enable his feet are able to his catch up with his brain.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 I love Nicky Adams, what a little scally.
FleckneyFox Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 I still think he'd be decent if given a proper chance, wouldve kept him as a squad player
